Project:University of Al Jahrah New Campus Project includes: (16 Nos. Of Colleges, Stadium, Medical Center, Theatre & Administration Buildings ).

Responsibilities: As a Client’s Representative

A- Design Management:

Based on the solid background of the Structural Design, Assist the Design Management Department for the followings:

1. Prepare the Basis for Design ( BFD ) and the Scope of work (

SOW ) – Specifications, Design codes, Design criteria,

Standards, etc… .

2. Review the structural design ( Drawings & Calculation Sheets ),

reports specification submitted by the DESIGN CONSULTANT at

each stage of the Design to ensure completeness, correctness,

compliance with the scope of work, Design Codes & Standards

specified for the project.

3. Review tender documents to ensure completeness prior to

issuing to bidders. • Participate in the pre qualifications of the

construction contractors list • Review and reply to bidders

clarifications, participate in issuing bulletins and attending

Technical Meetings with bidders during tender age.

4. Provide Value Engineering & Cost saving study for the client.

B- Construction Management for the projects – under construction - :

1- Understand completely all design documentation, drawings,

specifications, contract terms and conditions and all other special

requirements related to the project.

2- liaison with the main contractor and the main consultant &

Monitor the performance of the Contract, Consultants and

Contractors, to ensure the building and associated works are




completed to the scope of the services, contractual obligations,

standards, specified quality, cost and program, and assist to

prepare the monthly reports accordingly.

3- Closely monitor construction program and the progress of works,

Highlight the critical areas of the project. And ensure the design

meets the end user requirements and make recommendation in

areas of slippage.

4- Monitor and report the progress of the works as well as the

performance of the supervising consultant and contracting staff.

5- Highlight if there is any cost or time impact to the project to the

client.

6- Attend the periodical progress meetings for the sites and Give

sites backup / advice / technical support on Technical / Design

issues, where required. And emphasis on the Value Engineering

& Cost saving studies.
