How do you prepare for major earthquakes?

• If you have kids teach them where to go, NOT to run outside.

• Have a fire extinguisher. • Water for whole family ( for min. of 3 days) • Same with food ^ • Teach all safety drills. (Duck, cover, hold) • Strap all objects that may fall and cause

harm.

What will a 9.0 earthquake do to us?

• Destroy cities• Most buildings will collapse, cause of the moving

of the plates. • Floods • Be felt throughout the whole state (That the

Cascadia Subduction zone runs through) • Destruction for 100’s of miles in every direction • Fires
