You can get rid of algae from a fish tank in 6 easy steps
1.Lower nutrient levels in the water. Change the water and siphon
out the slime. 2.Lower the light levels. Sunlight makes plants grow
so it will make algae grow. 3.Keep direct sunlight away from the
fishtank. 4.Use grazing snails to eat most of the algae 5.Use a
razor blade to scrape glass tanks 6. Get algae eating fish such as
cat fish and siemese fighters. To avoid getting new algae in your
tank, soak plants in 1 part bleach into 20 parts water. Dip the
plant for about 2 minutes and rinse it immediately in cool running
water
