death songJuan lives alone with his 15 year old daughter, in a trailer park outside Vegas. He works hard to build a life for them both; cleaning casinos by night and washing cars by day. But beneath the surface the claustrophobic relationships that will lead to tragedy are forming.

With a haunting live original soundtrack on cello and guitar, and performed by a cast of Puerto Rican, Basque, Catalan and English actors, Death Song is the tense, electric story of a Mexican man on death row in Nevada during the 1980s, and the events leading to his arrest for murder.

This entertaining adaptation of the evocative saga is set in the north of England at the height of the Industrial Revolution.

Four actors represent all the resilient residents of smoke-filled Coketown as well as taking on the roles of the visiting circus performers, stuffy business men, downtrodden workers, oppressed women and rural rascals, finally revealing that even in the gloomiest of social landscapes, honesty, loyalty and jolly good times are possible!

Sadari theatre and Moby Duck

Bong soon - a Windy taleBy Peter Wynne Willson with Ko Sun Duck

Suitable for children aged 4 plus

A thunderously naughty tale created by Korea’s best-known children’s company and the UK’s Moby Duck.

One of Korea’s naughtiest and best-loved tales in a new English version that promises to be just as wild (but of course in impeccable taste)!

You can hear Bong Soon coming for miles – her toots and hoots, biffs, boffs, pumps and trumps wake small children, frighten goats and even blow pheasants out of trees.

For three years she keeps things quiet but it all gets too much - she can’t hold it any longer!

Storytelling, live music, puppetry and wild, exuberant Korean humour swirl together into a heady, exhilarating performance style - it’ll blow you away!

Blackeyed theatre, in association with South Hill Park arts centre and the courtyard centre for the arts

Oh What a lovely WarJoan Littlewood’s musical entertainment remains a modern theatre classic and a powerful reminder of the atrocities of a war that cost 20 million lives.

Told through the songs and documents of the period, it’s a satirical attack on the military incompetence and disregard for human life the First World War represents and a chilling reminder of man’s inhumanity to man.

At turns satirical, funny and deeply moving, the production combines live music, dance, songs and sketches to create a picture of life for those on the front line and those behind it.

Big wooden Horse

the night Before christmasSuitable for children aged 3 - 7 years

On the night before Christmas, Emily stares out of the window, hugs her teddy and waits excitedly for the morning, while in the corner a little mouse called Eddie can’t understand why only humans are allowed to celebrate and get presents. So he sets off in search of Father Christmas to find out for himself.

Along the way he dodges the family cat, gets directions from a cowardly toy robot and is given some unexpected advice from the magical fairy on top of the tree. Will Eddie get an answer? Will Emily get her wish? And what is that funny-shaped present sitting under the tree?

From the creators of the hit shows Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! and The Way Back Home.

great gran’s great games Suitable for children aged 4 plus

Following the massive successes of Laura’s Star and The Big Enormous Present, Pied Piper return with award-winning Mike Kenny’s new play to celebrate London 2012.

Frankly, Ollie can’t see the point of his Great Gran; and now it’s even worse. She fell and hurt her hip and had to come to stay. Ollie has had to give up his room. And what can she do?

She can’t run, jump, skate, anything. She can hardly stand.

However she can do something he can’t. She can swim. In fact, she can do it rather well. There was a time she did it at the Olympic Games in London. No! Not those Olympic Games. The other ones in 1948... when the athletes had to bring their own towels!

yes, Prime ministerFollowing two sell-out West End seasons, Yes, Prime Minister comes to Crawley for one week only.

The original writers of the classic BBC TV series, Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn have reunited for this anniversary production and now the Prime Minister Jim Hacker played by Graham Seed (Nigel Pargetter - The Archers) and his Cabinet Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby played by Michael Simkins (Mamma Mia, Above Suspicion) are back in this hilarious new play.

In a world of spin, BlackBerrys and ‘sexed up’ dossiers, the PM is staring disaster in the face. The country is on the brink of financial meltdown and the Government’s only apparent salvation comes from a morally dubious deal with the Foreign Minister of Kumranistan. Will Jim Hacker and his team of advisors be able to rescue the country from the edge?
