Highlights at The Hawth

Don’t miss

The Autumn/Winter season is traditionally one of the busiest seasons of the year and we have a fantastic range of events in both the Theatre and Studio.

The musical theatre classic Fiddler On The Roof ran for over 13 years on Broadway. Now a new production starring Paul Michael Glaser and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood comes to Crawley in November, filled to the brim with classic songs.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without pantomime. This year’s promises to be the most spectacular ever starring Stephen Mulhern and Sid Sloane (CBeebies) in Cinderella.

The Arts Council funded programme Going Global makes a welcome return with a season of work celebrating cultures from around the world including artists from India, France, Pakistan, East Asia, and Russia and the very best of UK artists.

Finally a big thank you to Vines of Gatwick for its continuing support of work at The Hawth. Vines is sponsoring The Hawth’s season of comedy running through to May 2014.

From the award-winning producers of The King and I and High Society, comes a new production of one of the world’s favourite musicals, directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, the nation’s favourite Strictly Come Dancing judge and master of the musical stage and starring the celebrated and acclaimed actor, director and writer, Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky in the iconic ‘70s TV series Starsky & Hutch) in the lead role of Tevye.

Tevye, the local milkman in his village of Anatevka, has always stuck by his traditions but suddenly his head strong daughters decide that they want to marry for love rather than accept whatever Yente the Matchmaker comes up with. Tevye loves his daughters but has to convince his wife, and the villagers, that their decisions are actually falling in with tradition – not any easy thing to do but if anyone can do it, the wily Tevye can!

Filled to the brim with classic songs like If I Were a Rich Man, Matchmaker Matchmaker, Sunrise Sunset and To Life, Fiddler On The Roof was the longest running production on Broadway for over 13 years and when you join Tevye, his family and friends, you will understand why.

The legendary, record-breaking, Box Office smash hit thriller celebrates 60th anniversary

A classic. A landmark. A legend. The Mousetrap is famous around the world for being the longest running show of any kind in the history of British

theatre - with over 25,000 performances it’s a play to be proud of. To celebrate 60 incredible years on stage, it’s going on tour for the first time, to give you a once in a life-time opportunity to see this masterpiece here at The Hawth.

The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until

at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed. In her own inimitable style, Dame Agatha Christie has created an atmosphere of shuddering suspense and a
