Theory learnt will be applied using “MS Office” applications. This course is designed to provide participants a detailed and up-to-date overview of practical CCTV installation. It covers basic elements of CCTV system including the camera, monitor and digital recorder; camera types and uses which are fixed and movable, for indoor and outdoor, monochrome and colour and for day and night use. It also covers camera specifications that deals with sensitivity, signal to noise ratio and resolution. Further, the course will also discuss the different types of lens which are fixed and variable focal length, manual and motorized zoom and describe the various types of cables and connectors, its types, uses, limitations, preparation and testing. The course will also enhance the skills to carryout back focus adjustment, use of lens calculator, recording footage using analogue and digital video recorders, time lapse recording and reviewing video footage. Delegates will be able to successfully identify, diagnose and rectify a wide range of CCTV faults with confidence and efficiency.

    Determine the significance of the “operational requirement” and the EN50132 testprotocols

    Recognize the relevant standards and issues

    Use a lens calculator to choose correct lens for particular application

    Discuss the changing technology and its impact on the industry
