Hawaii Video Gaming League (HVGL) will be holding their annual “Street Fight for Hunger” gaming tournament in support of the Hawai’i Food Bank at Loft (115 N Hotel St.) on June 9th. Following up the tremendous success of last year’s tournament, HVGL hopes to surpass their previous years earnings of over 500 canned food donations with an additional pot of $2000. This event marks the 4 th annual HVGL “Street Fight for Hunger”. All of the previous years earnings were donated to the Hawai’i Food Bank. Thanks to sponsor Razor Concepts, last year’s tournament winner also received an additional prize of an all- expense paid trip to the Evolution National Championships with a semi-final seeded spot. Local Hawaii Video Gaming League holds annual video gaming tournament to raise

funds for the needy.

HONOLULU, Hawaii (April 13, 2011) – Gamers unite to fight a common foe: hunger.

Hawaii Video Gaming League (HVGL) will be holding their annual “Street Fight for

Hunger” gaming tournament in support of the Hawai’i Food Bank at Loft (115 N Hotel

St.) on June 9th. Following up the tremendous success of last year’s tournament, HVGL

hopes to surpass their previous years earnings of over 500 canned food donations with an

additional pot of $2000.

This event marks the 4th annual HVGL “Street Fight for Hunger”. All of the previous

This year’s entry fee is 48oz of canned food or a $20 donation, which grants admission

into one tournament of player’s choice. Every other tournament entered requires an

additional $10 donation. Preferred canned foods are as follows (in this order): 1. Canned

Meats (Spam, Tuna), 2. Canned Meals (Spaghetti, Corned Beef Hash), 3. Canned Soups,

4. Canned Vegetables, 5. Canned Fruits.

mission is to unite the local video gaming community by providing a comfortable, safe

and fun atmosphere for social networking and/or competitive play while contributing to
