Kingley | High quality foam underlay designed specially for floating floors. Closed cells for minimal breakdown of thickness. Levels out uneven surfaces. Lightweight & flexible. Excellent impact sound reduction.

Junckers

Elastilon | A new laying system and subfloor in one. A strong elastic underlay with an adhesive layer on one side designed to be used with prefinished solid wood and engineered flooring. Excellent sound properties. Proven time saving is up to 50-70%.

Junckers | Polythene moisture barrier. 800 guage.

Duralay | Unique high density rubber underlay for engineered wood and laminate flooring over underfloor heating. Low tog rating of .35. 21dB reduction on transmitted impact noise. 3mm thickness. 0.35 tog.

Important: A 1000 gauge DPM is required when laying over a concrete subfloor. Refer to technical data sheet for further details.

Kährs | The first choice of interlayer over underfloor heating using Kährs 15mm multilayer and 7mm Linnea with a woodloc joint. Low resistance to thermal transmittance. Refer to Kährs technical data sheet for further details.

INSTALLATION & SUBFLOOR PREPARATION DPMs/Primers/Levelling Compounds

Marldon | An accelerated two part epoxy based DPM that cures as a surface membrane over concrete and sand and cement subfloors. One coat system up to 97%RH. Tinted grey for visual control. Compatible with underfloor heating systems* *see data sheet. Drying time – 3-4 hr curing at 20°C. Excellent adhesion promoter over clean mastic asphalt.

Primer Coverage: Approx 25m² per 4 litre

DPM Coverage: Approx 12.5-15m² per 4 litre

Marldon | A single component, high strength smoothing compound for levelling uneven subfloors. Rapid setting and curing time, pump applicable and low VOC. Suitable for under floor heating. Mix with approx 5-5.25ltr water.

Coverage: Approx 5m2 at an average of 3mm thickness per bag.

Marldon | A solvent free 2 part epoxy primer for promoting adhesion to non-porous substrates prior to using smoothing compounds. Non-flammable and non-corrosive.

Drying time: 3-6 hours (roller application) 1-3 hours (squeegee application)

Coverage: Approximately 75 -100 m2 per 5kg depending on substrate.

Marldon | A single component moisture vapour suppressant designed specifically for use beneath Marldon MXA200 Wood Floor Adhesive when bonding wood flooring. Primes, consolidates and damp proofs. Non-hazardous product. Tinted green for visual control. Drying time - Very Fast Drying. Approx 30 minutes.

Coverage: Moisture barrier - 5m² per litre. 1/2 coats.Primer - (mixed 50/50 with water) 10m² per litre. 1 coat.

Marldon | A universal primer for porous substrates such as screeds and timber sub floors. Allows for better flow characteristics and removes the adverse effects of suction. Compatible with levelling compounds and beneath Marldon MXA200 adhesive. Drying time: 2-4 hours.

Coverage: Approx 8m² per litre

Sika | For levelling areas from 4mm - 30mm. Same properties as Latex Ultra.

Sika | Single component smoothing compound. Simply mix with water. Rapid curing, 2-3 hours before light foot traffic. Excellent flowability. Can be used to feather edged up to 20mm. Suitable for underfloor heating. Coverage: Approx 5m² @ 3mm thickness per bag.

Sika | A single component resin used to provide a DPM on cement based subfloors. It is also used for priming, consolidation of porous screed and isolation of old adhesive residues prior to the application of SikaBond® adhesives. Drying time – Approx 45 -60 minutes per coat.

Coverage - Primer: 0.1-0.2 kg/m² in 1 coatDPM: 0.2-0.3 kg/m² in 2 coats or more. (Approximately 20m² per 5 litre bottle.)

Wakol (was Lecol) | Single component polyurethane resin primer. Solvent and water free. Fast drying 45 mins per coat. Suitable as a DPM with humidity levels not exceeding 5%. Primer 1 coat - DPM 2/3 coats.

Coverage: 7m² per kg per coat

Sika | 1 coat solvent free moisture barrier primer. Excellent adhesion promoter over mastic asphalt and ‘old’ adhesive residues. Strengthens dusty substrates. Tinted blue for visual control. Moisture barrier system up to 4% moisture by volume (75% RH). Drying time @ 12 hours at 20˚C.

Ball | A neoprene emulsion primer designed to promote the adhesion of Stopgap smoothing compounds to smooth non-absorbent surfaces. Can be used as a general purpose primer for dusty or absorbent surfaces to promote adhesion. Coloured green to give better visual control and uniformity. 2-4 hours drying time.

Coverage: Diluted 20m² per litre. Undiluted 10m² per litre

Ball | A water mix rapid hardening repair mortar. Setting time as little as 20 mins. Slump resistant, ideal for creating ramps and coving. For absorbent and non-absorbent floors. Recommended to be used over Ball P131 Primer* *See data sheet

Coverage: approx 12kg with water at 3mm = 2.4m²

Ball | Fast curing additive when added to Stopgap F76 and F75. Reduces curing time to approx. 3 hours at floor temperature of 20 .̊ Allows floor coverings to be laid in the same day

Bona | A primer designed for use with Silane based adhesives. It is suitable for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates (with the exception of magnesium industrial floors) and for chipboard, panels and similar substrates.

Coverage: 100 / 150 g/m².Drying time: 1 - 2 hrs.

Bona | A solvent and water-free, two-component epoxy resin, suitable for damp proofing concrete or sand/cement subfloors, or for use as a primer prior to the application of a suitable adhesive or levelling compound. Use two coats for damp proofing and a single coat as a primer.

Coverage: Primer / Surface hardener: Approx 150-250 g/m². Moisture Barrier: 500 g/m².

Ball | Fast set self-smoothing underlayment screed for absorbent and non-absorbent sub floors. To be used with 114 Latex Liquid, mixed 25kg bag/5 Litre Latex. Drying time @ 3mm thick 6 hours, ideally 24 hours.

Coverage: Approx 2-3mm/5-6m²

Ball | Two part resin which chemically cures as a waterproof surface membrane. Isolates residual moisture in subfloors over 92% RH*. Two coat system - red in colour for visual control. Very quick curing when used in conjunction with Stopgap Accelerator. * Refer to data sheet. 18-24 hours drying time.

Coverage: 1st Coat 3.5m² per kg. 2nd Coat 5m² per kg

Ball | Two part resin which chemically cures as a waterproof surface membrane. One Coat - allows early installation of floor coverings - blue in colour. Isolates residual moisture below 92% RH*.
