Have your say on the Premises Standards Review
Date published: 20 April 2015
The Australian Government is conducting a review of the effectiveness of the Disability (Access toPremises - Buildings) Standards 2010 (the Premises Standards) and you're invited to have your say.
What are the Premise Standards?
The Premises Standards set out the minimum requirements for building work to make sure thatpeople with a disability can use the building in a dignified way.
The standards apply to new buildings and parts of existing buildings that are undergoingmodifications, require building approval and were lodged on or after 1 May 2011.
If this applies to the building your business operates out of, you should take the opportunity to haveyour say on the review of the Premise Standards. Generally, private residences are not covered bythe Premises Standards.
