It’s hard to believe that we are already finished with our first grading period. Our students have been working hard and have already shown growth in many areas. Teachers and students have been tracking this progress in data binders. Your child should be bringing their personal-ized data binder home soon to share with you.

CPCSC Parent Perception Survey Coming

From April 13 - 16 the Crown Point Community Schools will participate in our regular 5-year evaluation ad accredita-

tion process by AdvancED.

Parent perceptions are vitally important to this evaluation. Therefore, half of our parents have been randomly identified to participate in an online survey that will provide information to be used in the evaluation of the school corporation.

The corporation goal is for 2,650 – 3,500 parents to respond.

On November 1st identified parents will receive a School Messenger email and phone call providing directions for tak-

ing the survey and an overview of the accreditation process. In addition, a letter will also be mailed to your home.

Vision screenings for 5th grade students will be on November 14th and 19th. This is a new

requirement mandated by the state this year. Vision screenings for 3rd grade will be on

December 3rd, 5th and 6th. Hearing screening for 4th grade will be on November 25th and

26th. These screenings are mandated by the state of Indiana. If you have any questions or

concerns, please contact Mrs. Arena before your child’s screening date.

DISMISSAL CHANGES Parents, if anyone other than you will be picking your child up from school, or you are changing your child’s dismissal procedure for the day, please call the office or send a note prior to 3:00. Also, please remember to display your child’s name on your visor when they are going to be a car rider. Thank you for

DreamBox Learning is an elementary math program that raises students’ math performance and

confidence. It is now available for the iPad! If your family owns an iPad, your student can now

work on DreamBox at home.

1. Download the DreamBox app from app store and install--it is a FREE app

2. Locate app

3. Open app

4. Put in the code for your school.

5. Students will then see their schools’ classes.
