"Our group of fifteen U.S. university studentswas hosted by the University Centre oftheWestfjords as a part of a program studyingrenewable energy in Iceland. In the Westfjordswe hoped to see how energy principles wehad learned about elsewhere were actuallyapplied. The program was a great success;the small scale and accessibility of the areamake it an ideal setting for such a study. TheUniversity Centre did a great job organizingthe program, local people were very friendlyand available to our students, and of coursethe scenery Is spectacular. We will be returningto the Westijords in the future."

They did nothesitate when rating their experience In theWestfjords as the highlight of the summercourse. As the organizer of the IFS, I fullyagree with the students, thanks to theexceptionally professional, profound andcreative cooperation with the UniversityCentre of the Westfjords."
