I am writing to inform you of an exciting opportunity here at the University Centre of the Westfjords,
Iceland. Our cross disciplinary Master's program in Coastal and Marine Management offers courses toexternal individuals and student groups. We offer a wide range oftimely and essential courses related
to the management and health of our oceans and coastal areas.
As a member of NAML, you may find our courses to be of interest to any students working in your lab.
Please distribute these brochures to students who are interested in further coursework.
Our students and professors come from all around the world, creating a unique and stimulating learning
environment with international perspective. English is the program's language of instruction.
Admission into a three-week course will be determined by committee, which will take into account thestudent's coursework and work experience.

"Our group of fifteen U.S. university studentswas hosted by the University Centre oftheWestfjords as a part of a program studyingrenewable energy in Iceland. In the Westfjordswe hoped to see how energy principles wehad learned about elsewhere were actuallyapplied. Three-Week Coursesin IcelandClasses in English for internationalstudents
Coastal and Marine Managementis a cross-disciplinary master'sprogram at the University Centreof the Westfjords. Eachcourse inthe program is taught intensivelyover a three-week period.
