Lets talk money. You want to attend the kind of private, liberal arts college that

will put you on the fast track to professional successbut thatkind of education is expensive. So four years ago, Hartwick wasone of the rst schools in the nation to realize theres nothingmagical about taking four years for a bachelors degree.

You can do it in three years, and save as much as $40,000in the process.Less upfront cost and less debtan intriguingidea. So we created a program to complete your degree in three

years instead of four and made sure you wouldnt miss out onany of the activities so important to your college experience.

The idea quickly caught the attention of the national newsmedia. More importantly, it caught the attention of ourstudents. Currently, about 1 out of every 10 entering Hartwickstudent will complete his or her degree in just three years andsave a ton of money in the process.

How it works. You take a few extra courses (40 credits per year instead of 30)and you nish a year early. In the process, you save an entire

years tuition and get to grad school or work even sooner. Youcan earn a Hartwick degree and enjoy every aspect of campus

life in three years, saving a lot of money along the way. Noonline courses, no summer school (except if youre in nursing),no strings.

Three-Year Degree students are motivated and hard-working,so they dont make a lot of compromises. Theyre on our sportsteams, and in our clubs. Theyre performing on stage, hangingwith friends, or living at our Pine Lake Environmental Campus.

Hartwicks Three-YearDegree Program was developed in close collaboration with ourfaculty. Their expertise and our exible curriculum are a few ofthe reasons our Three-Year Degree works at Hartwick while

    some other schools have failed.

Added benets. As a Three-Year Degree student, youll graduate sooner withless debt. Youll also get priority course registration, specialacademic advising, and the option of a special living-learningresidential environment.

You can still be involvedin everything. My parents are paying for myeducation Im very lucky. Theynever pushed me to go into theThree-Year Degree Program fornancial reasons, but when I didthey were excited. I have a prettysubstantial merit scholarship, but

the Three-Year Program helps somuch more. I feel like Im capable ofgoing into law school without a tonof extra debt.

Im denitely prepared for thenext step. Theres no doubt Imbummed out to leave this place andleave my friends, but I think Imready to spread my wings, as clichas that sounds. As a Three-Year

student you dont miss any of theopportunities four-year studentshave. You can still be involved ininternships, clubs, activities, andathletics everything.

    Its the full Hartwick experience.

The Three-YearProgram is unique, and its realistic.Saving money is denitely a goodthing. Getting on to my mastersa year faster with only three yearsof loans? Thats very helpful. TheThree-Year Program is unique, andits realistic. If youre willing to put

in the time and take an extra classor two a semester, youre going toshow initiative and that translatesto doing well in the job market.

It is a little more work than thefour-year student has, but its onlya class or two more a semester. Imsaving a ton of money, getting tomy masters sooner, and getting a

job sooner. It saves a lot of moneyin the long run, and you still getto have fun and hang out with

your friends. Its the real collegeexperience.

A complete Collegeexperience. As a pioneer in the three-yeardegree model, Hartwick Collegerecognizes that students shouldhave the option to pursue cost- andtime-saving options when earning ahigh-quality bachelors degree. Thegrowth and success of Hartwicks

Three-Year Degree programclearly illustrates the viability of,and demand for, this innovativeeducational approach.

At Hartwick, we have seen noevidence that Three-Year Degreestudents have a less meaningfulor substantial experience thanour four-year students. Theycollaborate with professors onresearch, study abroad, participatein clubs and organizations, performin college productions, and spendtime with friends. They are havingthe complete college experience.
