At HARTING quality is a key component of all stages of the offer, processing and supply phase.

We see quality as an integrated concept that applies to all our company’s internal and external activities.

Quality management equals competitiveness

The HARTING Group has always worked verifiable to the most stringent quality standards, and is audited by the DQS already since 1991 in accordance with ISO 9001 guidelines.

Additionally, the company has been process-oriented for several years. Our goal is maximum customer orientation, efficiency and zero faults.

All our foreign subsidiaries work consistently following the same system. As a result, the HARTING Group’s management helps to enhance your competitive strength.

HARTING – Systematic Quality

Page 9: HARTING Corporate Technology Services Service Catalogue · Service Catalogue. 2 HARTING Worldwide ... Surface and material analysis Scanning electron microscopy, ... Climatic and

9

The HARTING Group takes on responsibility for the entire life span of its products. The high quality standard does not end with the sale, but encloses equally the application.

The important functions, which the products must fulfil in practice, require a maximum of security and reliability. Therefore each product is measured several times against strict quality standards, before it leaves the company.

Thus a quality requirement profile, which exceeds the usual standards, is defined already in the development phase of each product, which is manufactured by HARTING.

The department Corporate Technology Services (CTS) of HARTING KGaA accomplishes the conformity assessment of the products. It is an approved laboratory for the qualifying of electromechanical and electronic transmission systems.

The laboratory is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 for the testing of electromechanical components, fibre-optic and electronic transmission systems, geometries and material properties together with EMC-tests for CE mark acceptance. It supports the product development as well as the product qualification, elaborates innovative fundamental technologies and gives counsel to technical solutions.

The independent department Corporate Technology Services puts itself the following aims:

Product release; efficient and effective qualification of processes and products by provisioning of the measuring and testing technology as well as our competence

Supporting the Global Business Units for a faster market introduction of products by an early imbedding in the developmental phase
