Introduction

This interactive game is designed to help users develop skills

in counting, number recognition, and the use of a number line to

assist in determining the amount of a given number of items.

Target Learners

This game is designed to be used with learners aged 3-6

years, but can also be used with older students to demonstrate

the concept of using a number line to identify a given amount.

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of this game is to assist in the development of

one-to-one correspondence in young learners, while introducing

the concept of the number line. It is also designed to encourage

number recognition by having learners use a mouse to click on

the correct answer following the counting process.

Objectives include:

1. The learner will demonstrate one-to-one correspondence by

clicking on individual apples and dragging those to the

provided number line.

2. The learner will demonstrate the ability to count a given

number of apples between 1 and 10 by using a number line.3. The learner will demonstrate number recognition by

selecting the correct numeric answer from a group of

provided possible answers.

Running the Program

This game is designed with very young learners in mind;

the game is accessed, the questions (e.g. baskets of apples) will

be randomized to avoid possible memorization of questions and

answers. When the game tab is clicked, the game will load

automatically and users will see a screen similar to the one

below.
