Harmony West Harmony West is a non-residential treatment and recovery center dedicated to helping women through the difficulties of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. At Harmony West we understand women have treatment needs that are distinct from the needs of men. Women are more likely to suffer from increased levels of shame and guilt, interpersonal problems, financial difficulty, lack of marketable job skills and social support. Harmony West offers a safe, supportive environment in which our clients can address their treatment needs. Our Prevention andEarly Intervention (PEI)We also offer Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services for our clients and their children. PEI is our mental health component that targets those women, children, and mothers who aren’t receiving therapeutic services elsewhere.

Our PEI Mental Health Counseling encompasses a client-centered approach, while providing therapeutic services to family members, as well. Its treatment goal is to benefit our client’s recovery while involving family members affected by the client’s addiction and/or alcoholism.

Who We ServeWe serve single and parenting women who have substance use disorders, including those referred by Drug Court, Cal Works, and Child Welfare Services. We also welcome walk-ins and accept self-referrals. Medi-Cal and sliding scale fees are available and no one is refused service due to inability to pay.

Our StaffOur staff treat the clients in our women-only groups with respect and dignity at all phases of treatment. They give personal attention to each woman’s unique circumstances.

Our Substance Abuse Treatment ProgramBeing a client at Harmony West requires a commitment to show up and take part in the services offered. Their treatment includes women focused individual and group counseling, alcohol and drug abuse education, AIDS/HIV awareness, relapse prevention, and random urinalysis.
