Insertion of harmonized standards in the Type-

examination certificate of the NB

Follow-up to my intervention at last RCD-WG meeting under AoB regarding"insertion of harmonised standards in the Type-eamination !ertifi!ate of theB"# As you $now in parti!ular %&C% is refusing the standards against whi!h the

type testing too$ pla!e to 'e inserted in the Type-eamination !ertifi!ate# They

argue that this is too mu!h a paper-wor$ (si!)* and a 'uero!rati! 'urden# % donot share this opinion 'e!ause we (mar$et surveillan!e authorities* have to 'e

sure against whi!h standards (and what version)* the type-eamination had 'eenperformed and after all the B is then also responsi'le to use the ade+uate

standards for type-eamination# To insert the standards in the DoC is thea!!ompanying do!umentation to !he!$ the ade+ua!y of the given produ!t against

the type eamined, 'ut remains the sole responsi'ility of the e!onomi! operator

who puts the RC (and in parti!ular the WC, as is my !ase* on the mar$et.inservi!e#

Annex VII

/# Where the type meets the provisions of the Dire!tive, the notified 'odyshall issue an 0C type-eamination !ertifi!ate to the appli!ant# The !ertifi!ate

shall !ontain the name and address of the manufa!turer, !on!lusions of

the eamination, !onditions for its validity and the ne!essary data foridentifi!ation

of the approved type#A list of the relevant parts of the te!hni!al do!umentation shall 'e anneed

to the !ertifi!ate and a !opy $ept 'y the notified 'ody#%f the manufa!turer is denied a type !ertifi!ation, the notified 'ody shall

provide detailed reasons for su!hdenial#
