at harding academy of memphis, students learn excellence in academics, athletics and the creative arts surrounded by a caring community where faith is lived as well as taught. Serving children from the age of two years through high school graduation, our experienced and dedicated faculty and staff provide a nurturing environment where individual differences and talents are respected. Whether in chemistry class or in concert band, in Advanced Placement English or on the football field, our teachers use each learning opportunity to mentor students in life-changing ways. As a result, Harding boasts a rich 50-year heritage with more than 5,000 graduates whose quality education and Christ-centered experience has enhanced their academic skill with personal faith, a commitment to service and a sense of mission for their lives.

Harding is for learning.

harding is more than a school – we are a family. The relationships made here last a lifetime because they are joined at the heart with beliefs that transcend time. Our academic model succeeds because of well-qualified, godly teachers who serve as role models for children as they learn to interact socially, guiding children with love and kindness and teaching them by example how to form deep and meaningful relationships that connect on a spiritual level. At Harding, we are unified not by social standing, economics or race, but by our faith in God and our desire to achieve the highest possible return for our lives. We strive to sharpen minds, train bodies and touch hearts to enrich each place these students go in their lives.

Harding is for life.

“ There are a lot of schools where I could have become a great receiver, but at Harding I found coaches who cared more about me than just my athletic ability. Now that I’m away from home playing football in college, I realize more than ever the spiritual foundation I got at Harding is what will stay with me long after football ends. My coaches and teachers made sure I was prepared not only for athletics and college, but also for real life.”

“Our daughter’s Harding Academy education is the best

money we ever spent. We were young and it was difficult

to pay for private school, but the superb ed

ucation and

lifelong friendships she developed with others who share

her love of God and family have really paid off. Now

our grandchildren are at Harding and the positive return

on our investment is spanning generations.”

“Sometimes the greatest lessons you learn are not found in the textbooks. It would mean nothing to leave high school with a brain full of knowledge and no passion in my heart. I was well prepared for university study, but more than that, my time at Harding Academy prepared me for life. There I experienced five loaves, two fish, twelve ruffians, a carpenter, a cross... and teachers who touch a child’s life forver.”

“ I want my children educated by individuals who areas concerned with guarding their souls as they are witheducating their minds. What makes Harding Academytruly invaluable is that children are given opportunitiesto learn under the guidance of a Christian staff, faculty, and administration who embrace and celebrate diversity while continually pointing to the only source of unity: Jesus Christ.”

h“I’m aware of the need to

prepare my students for

college and adulthood, but

I want them to go through

life with a deeper aware-

ness of where life leads.

When they are taught that

the ultimate goal is to join

their heavenly family, they

respond to life in a way

very different from the

view that this world is the

be-all and end-all. I see

students from years gone

by who are such fine

citizens of the world –

in business, as parents, in

service to the community –

and I know that their lives

are more content and rich

because of their spiritual

strength. That’s the real

blessing in teaching at

Harding. Every night when

I put my head on the pillow,

I feel that I have done

something worthwhile.”

at harding, students are challenged academically, athletically, artistically and spiritually. We believe that the Christian values through which everything is taught give our students added compassion, integrity and joy in their lives. Our classrooms are engaged and enthusiastic and our students learn to view the world in a secure and sustaining environment. They leave with a sound educational foundation, an interest in others and a desire to use their God-given gifts in the best possible way they can. We’re proud that we’ve led so many boys and girls to become men and women who forge successful paths, contribute to their communities and pass the traditions and training they learned at Harding to future generations.

Harding is forever.
