Hello Residents,

happy to provide each of you some cards that you can complete with a

favorite thought to send to your loved ones and friends. Here are a few

messages to get you started:

• 365 days complete, 365 New Days to go, I am writing a New Year

Resolution, want to join me? Wishing you a wonderful New Year.

• I am fortunate to have friends who bring so much joy to my life. I

In late November, the Life Enrichment staff went to Alabama for “Its Never 2 Late“ training. Since being back, we

have enjoyed introducing the new program to our residents. With this program, we will be able to provide dignity

through a tailored technology program for each resident. Our families will be invited some time in the coming weeks

to preview the program and learn how to operate the system to create a personal welcome video. This video will be a

part of your loved one’s profile and can be viewed at anytime. More information about this amazing program can be

found at www.in2l.com.

Wow, the Extravaganza was so beautiful! All departments worked together to produce a winter wonderland for

our community to enjoy! Santa was here in our library greeting each family. Chattanooga State Choir and The

Joe Chambers Jazz Band blessed all of us with beautiful music and songs of the season. Special thanks to the

Dietary Department for all the hours of service and to our executive Director Greg Pflug for that scrumptious

Bananas Foster, Mrs. Rena the Coconut balls, and Tracey for that Chocolate Cupcake. Everything was great!

Recently, Memory Care residents were treated to an afternoon of Karaoke with their caregivers and a representa-

tive of Hearth Hospice. Caregivers and residents belted out favorite tunes and threw in a few dance moves for good

measure. It was an enjoyable, toe-tapping time! Each song was met with applause and smiles. One thing’s for sure:

Rosewood’s got talent!

Musician Jason Blevins has a voice that would make Johnny Cash

proud. Jason puts that voice to good use when he shares his won-

derful stories and songs with Memory Care residents. Folk songs,

railroad tunes, beautiful ballads, true stories of beloved entertain-

ers — Jason covers these and more with a voice that rings clear

and true. Rosewood has a reputation for offering fine entertain-

ment. Jason Blevins secures that reputation with his incredible

voice and wonderful guitar music. Residents love to hear Jason’s

musical fare. They always look forward to his visits!

We are very fortunate to have a great variety of artists here at Rosewood. Please check your calendars for your

favorite artist and come out to support the new talent. Long-time favorite Captain Jack will be here to kick off the

New Year on January 3rd. Coming up on January 19th, we will have a special 50’s show presented by Jamison. Many

of our artists volunteer their time to provide a music program at Rosewood; we are so grateful for the generosity of

their time. Please continue to support them and let them know how much you enjoy their music and time.

It has truly been a joy for us here at Rosewood getting to know the Days.

We have enjoyed Mrs. Day’s kind heart and spirit that she exhibits each

day as we pass her in the hall or while being greeted at meals. Mr. Day was

out for a while, and we are so happy that he is back. We enjoy his cool and

playful demeanor when he cracks small jokes. He is a very pleasant and

kind man. We enjoyed taking Mrs. Day to see him when he was away. She

was always so grateful and thankful. We congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Thur-

man Day for being our January 2019 residents of the month.
