Winthorpe + Valentine is named after the two memorable leading characters in the 1983 film Trading Places, which was filmed in Philadelphia. Louis Winthorpe III and Billy Ray Valentine, played respectively by Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy, were cast as opposites – one exceedingly formal and classic, the other playful and bold. They eventually come together to form a winning combination.

The theme of blending traditional with modern is again evident in Winthorpe + Valentine’s beverage and culinary menu. You are invited to graze on small and large plates, all suitable for sharing (or not), paired with a heady selection of cocktails, wine and beer.
