Pinckney Palooza: we want you

Palooza brings affordable family
fun to Pinckney right here on St.
Mary’s festival grounds on July 27,
2013, 11 AM – Midnight. There is
something for everyone in the
family; delicious food; great music ranging from Folk to
Rock and Roll; Minute to Win It competition; great free
family fun; rides; fantastic family games; In the evening a
Teen Event in the gym and then under the Beer Tent: The
Dale Hicks Band will play songs you remember from the 60's
up to Todays hits.
Advance sale wristbands for $15 each (wristbands are
for unlimited use on the rides). Wristbands will be available
for $18 at the event. You can purchase your wristbands in
advance at St. Mary’s Parish Office; Monday – Friday 8:00
AM – 4PM until July 19th or after Masses July 13th and 14th
and July 20th and 21st. The rides are open at 11:00 AM –
8:00 PM on Saturday July 27, 2013.

Women Conference Open Our Hearts, Enlarge and Expand them to receive
more of God’s love: Receiving, Experiencing and Knowing God’s love and allowing that love to transform our hearts
into the image and likeness of the heart of Jesus so that we can bring this same transforming love to other.
Plans are underway for the 2nd Annual Women's Conference...
Speakers include our own Most Reverend Bishop Earl Boyea, Reverend James Kubicki, SJ, and Teresa Tomeo. Erin Looby-Carlson will return again this year as the Emcee.

LANSING LUGNUTS BASEBALL The Diocese of Lansing will be holding its
13th annual Knights’ Family Night to Celebrate
Vocations during a baseball game at Cooley Law School
Stadium in Lansing on Friday August 9th. The game will
feature the Lansing Lugnuts vs. the West Michigan White
Caps. This will be a very fun event that has been designed for
the entire family. It will be attended by over 2,500 Catholics
from all over the Lansing Diocese, our seminarians, dozens
of priests and religious, and the Knights of Columbus. Please
show your support by ordering game tickets ($12 each) and
commemorative t-shirts ($10 each) after each Mass this
weekend. As in the past, altar servers tickets are paid by the
Knights and go free along with a shirt. Contact Kevin Schang

The Circus is on its
way to St. Mary! The circus will roll into
town on
Tuesday, August 13th
!
Everyone is invited to come out and watch the animals being
unloaded and fed, and the elephants raising the big top.
Activities will begin at 7:30am, and the tent will be raised at
9:00am. Guides will be furnished for school groups and
anyone attending. The traditional “old style” circus will
hold performances at 4:30pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets will be
on sale in advance and advanced tickets are the best way to
support St. Mary!
This year Rebecca Keiser is looking for a “Circus Team”
to help welcome the Circus Crew and Performers as well as
advertise, sell tickets, clown around and have a great time
raising money. This truly is a fun opportunity to give back
with tons of fun reward! Contact Rebecca to join the team!

ARBOR HOSPICE Grief 101: What to Expect When Grieving
Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Pittsfield
Library (2359 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103)
This one-hour educational meeting will provide attendees
with important resources and information for those coping
with the loss of a loved one. Grief 101 will explore what is
normal during the grief process, strategies for coping,
suggestions for self-care, and what support is available.
There will also be time for questions. All Arbor Hospice
grief support and community education programs are free of
charge and open to the community, whether or not a loved
one has received care from Arbor Hospice.

NFP POSTPARTUM CLASS John & Kelly Kopinski will be teaching a postpartum class at
their home in Saline on Sunday, June 23rd from 2-5pm.
Childcare will be provided. This class is beneficial for
couples who are pregnant or have recently had a baby to
better understand the transition back to fertility during the

annual state-wide picnic for Catholic singles in their mid
30's-60's from 4 pm to 9 pm (eating at 5 pm) on Saturday,
June 29th at Burchfield Park's North Bluff shelter in Holt,
just south of Lansing. Held rain or shine. Bring your own
beverage and a dish to pass. Meat, table service, and bonfire
