The Parishes of
Happy Birthday Fr. Joe!
Heavenly Father, We praise You for all Your gifts to us, especially for
priests. The birth of your Son, Jesus, brought great joy to Mary and Joseph. In a special way, we give thanks to You for Fr. Joe who celebrates his birthday. We ask that you
bless him today and always with your love. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Luke 10: 1-2
Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit. He said to them, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.
You are one of the laborers called by God for this harvest. What better way to answer the call to spread the good News of Jesus Christ?

New Year – New YOU! Hoop Fit classes will continue at the Holy Family Life Center with a new session starting on Tuesday, January 12th. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-8:30 in the gym. The 5 week course starts January 12th and runs through February 9th. Sign up for all 5 classes or drop in when you can.
“Hoop Fit” is a low-impact fitness class that will introduce the art of fitness hula hooping. In addition to spending time learning basic hula hoop movements, attendees will be taken through exercises designed to increase stamina and flexibility. Each participant will not only learn to find their “flow” with a hula hoop, but will also enjoy a great workout.
Think you can’t hoop? Think again! Fitness hoops are larger and heavier than toy store hula hoops, allowing for a fun, low-impact workout. Hoops will be available for use during class.
Class fee: $30.00 for all 5 classes, Drop-ins welcome, $8.00 per class. Instructor and Holy Family Parish member Mary Ann Redhage is a certified Hoopnotica trainer as well as a certified personal trainer through the NSCA. This time of year we dream about the perfect gift..new computer? Cool video game? Best outfit?, They’re all great gifts! But let’s not forget the greatest gift.the presence and peace of Jesus!
His gift never goes out of style, never gets holes in it and will not ever need batteries!
His gift can’t be purchased at the local store or over the internet. There is only one way to get HIS gift and that is to go to Jesus with a thankful, trusting heart.
As we begin a new year, be careful not to let your faith become a set of rules to follow: church on Sunday, read the Bible, pray ten minutes a day etc. Although these are wonderful things to do, they become routines and things you do without thinking.
In second grade, we are discussing spending quiet moments with Jesus. They are learning to give Jesus their heart2the thing He wants most!!!
Make time for Jesus2.you won’t regret it. That’s all that’s needed for your 2016 resolution!
Blessings! Linda Viviano & the Second Graders
