A HYMN TO THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR
© 1998 John Schrag (SOCAN). All rights reserved.
In Greek myth, Kore is the goddess of Spring. Each Winter she goes into the earth, and her mother (Summer) grieves. Everything stops growing; it becomes cold. In the
Spring, her daughter returns from the land of the dead, and Nature rejoices.
"Kore Evohe" (pronounced KO-ray AY-voe-hay) just means, "Hail, Kore".
