WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS

PRELUDE

*CALL TO WORSHIP (back of bulletin)

*GATHERING PRAYER ( unison)

Oh Lord, be born in us again today as you were born to the world more than 2000 years ago. Renew our trust in you. Renew our lives in you. Renew your creation and grant us peace as we move into the year of our Lord, 2021. Amen.

*GATHERING HYMN “The First Noel” Blue 199

OFFERING MEDITATION Everywhere around us we see two worlds: the world of misery and the world of riches. Between these two worlds is a huge wall which prevents contact or communion. We prefer not to see it for if we did, how could we live as we did before? Jesus is the one who walked between the two worlds and brought hope to the sad and distressed and to the self-satisfied, also. Jesus calls us to walk between these two worlds with him to bring life to all. “As you do it for the least of these, you do it to Christ.” (Matt. 25:40)
