The isolated setting in the clip also conceals the only character shown in the opening, creating ambiguity concerning that character, this is conventional of the thriller genre as there is usually a character that is ambiguous.

Additionally, the use of darker, colder colours like blue are conventional of a thriller as it makes the audience feel uneasy as the darker colours make the surroundings and events unclear, and darker colours usually imply that something bad is going to happen or has happened, adding to the audiences uneasiness. The fact that these darker colours are contrasted with the white puts emphasis on the eerie setting.

This creates suspense for the audience as it’s so quiet and they are anticipating a significant event to happen concerning Hanna.
