MMM vols assist with

clean-up; we have two

buckets, one filled with

soapy water, one

with rinse water. We

also supply plenty of

paper towels!

Kids get an ASK or MMM sticker when they

leave….as they wander through the event, it’s

great advertising!

works with the

kids, the other talks

with parents.

stickers and other

information are a crucial part of the

project. Sign-up sheets are

a must --we’ve added hundreds of

people to our data base this

way.

this poster, listing the

names of NC children who have died in recent years

from gun violence.

Our banner has grown to over 800 feet! It provides a

great photo op!

We use our banners at press conferences; we’ve wrapped schools, parks, churches, a community

health clinic; and we have plans to wrap our state legislature!

Hands Without Guns is the creation of Marcia Owen,

mother of 2 sons, who has worked for many years on gun violence prevention in

our community.

Marcia and WT Chapter president Karen Stark have developed the original idea into an effective outreach program throughout North

Carolina.
