This course will cover one of the newest rotary

systems available for the preparation of root

canals, the Protaper Next system.

This hands-on course will discuss the merits of the

Protaper Next system of endodontic preparation.

It will show how Protaper Next has been developed

with fewer files and improved flexibility with a view

to the shaping of curved canals.

The course will cover the importance of access

cavity preparation and straight line access.

The versatility in the use of ultrasonics and various

irrigation protocols will be included in the course

content.

Participants will be given the opportunity to use

Pathfiles, Guttacore in the Thermaprep oven and

the Calamus unit for the warm obturation of the

prepared root canals.

this course is specifically aimed at those

practitioners familiar with using a rotary

endodontic system.

Patrick O’Driscoll qualified

from Cork in 1986. He

worked as a general

practitioner for a number of

years in the UK. He attained

his Master’s in Endodontics

from the Eastman Dental

Institute in London in 1997,

and a Master’s in Medical Science in Endodontics

from University College Cork in 2000. He is a

member of the Irish Dental Association, the Irish

Endodontic Society, the International Association of

Dental Traumatology and the American Endodontic

Association. He is a certified member of the

European Society of Endodontology. He has been

elected a Fellow of the International Association of

Dental Traumatology. Over 19 years ago he

established the Cork Endodontic Clinic

(corkendoclinic.com), a practice that is limited

to endodontics.
