Carriage Structure

Wheel Configuration

Braking System
n Active Braking ¨ Hand brake for inclines
n Passive Braking ¨ Friction brake engages
automatically upon detachment
Double Sided Belt Mount
n Allows for hands-free mobility n Natural stride n Secure and easily detachable n Carriage remains stable if
parent falls
Project Mockup Conclusions
n What we learned: ¨ Must be stable and able to collapse ¨ Attachment arms must be rigid during use ¨ Importance of safety in every element of design
n What’s next: ¨ Refine folding; locking mechanisms for rigidity ¨ Develop sunshades and coverings ¨ Research additional features
