This artful bag mixes a variety of texture and color with four layers of cotton. A bright lining is covered with

beautiful hand-appliquéd layering and a crochet trim. Accented with a soft, leather tassel charm. Metal zipper closure.

Handmade Expressions undergoes thorough testing of all the dyes used in our products, such as the Metallic Block Print pillows. We verify the dyes are azo-free and non-toxic

for your and the planet's safety.

sustainable pillow inserts

Our sustainable pillow inserts are made using infinitely recyclable fiber fill. They are made

using a minimum of 95% post-consumer recycled plastic, are allergy-free and made consuming no water. They are processed in

the USA.

Handmade Expressions has recently switched to the use of these sustainable

pillow inserts as the filler of all of our gorgeous products, such as our new line

of Exotic Batik pillow cases. Not only are the pillows eye-catching, but you can rest assured the fillers are just as sustainably

developed as the product itself.

Saris are beautiful and colorful fabric garments that are traditionally worn by

women in India. Due to the various textile fabrics that saris are made by, they typically

end up in landfills at the end of their life.

Azo dyes are typically the major colourants in the textile industry due to

their colorfastness and wide spectrum. However, many of these dyes have proven to be carcinogenic, and possibly harmful on contact for the workers and consumers of

these products.

Cotton is natural cellulosic fiber, which is known to grow in warm climates such as

the U.S., India, China, Uzbekistan and Brazil. Cotton is naturally near white in

color and soft.

Because cotton is a natural fabric, products made from this material, such as our new line of Duchess Totes, are biodegradable and can be composted at the end of their useful life.

The use of upcycled Indian sari textiles for products (like the Reversible Sari bag)

helps to prolong the life of these exquisite fabrics from ending up in landfills. In addition, Handmade Expressions now packages your fair trade products in

upcycled sari packaging. The result is a more sustainable alternative to plastic that also provides additional employement for the artisans who develop the sari packaging.

Reversible Metallic Block Print Pillows

These pillows are block-printed with metallic ink with geometric and floral prints. Mix and match the front and back of these

pillows for a versatile, yet cohesive look.

Reversible Ducehess Tote

Metallic block print dresses it up on one side and reverses into a solid complementary

hue – two looks in one bag!

Reversible Batik Block Print Pillows

An exotic design is hand drawn with batik on one side, and a contrasting and equally vibrant pattern is on the other. Three different pillow designs

available, for a total of six vibrant designs.

Reversible Sari Bag

Edgy and versatile, this everyday reversible bag is made from

beautiful upcycled Indian saris. Equipped with braided handles

and a flat inner side pocket.
