#6 Pluie d’Avril

#3 Mystery Day

#2 Petite Amie

#4 Vinyasa

#6 PLUIE D’AVRIL returns from Tampa where she ran a

couple of good races, including a second on April 29 after

a rough start. Although typically a closer she may be able

to get decent early position in a paceless race. #3

MYSTERY DAY went badly off form towards the end of

2019 but, relatively speaking, was racing well for the

majority of the season. If the off-season freshening has

benefited her she should be very competitive. #2 PETITE

AMIE broke her maiden in a route on closing weekend

last year with a circling rally. Her spring races on July 13

and October 15 were fine. #4 VINYASA, like Petite Amie,

was able to rally to win a route race late last season. Her

first start against winners was an even effort; blinkers are

added.

#6 No Question

#2 Snippy

#5 Elite Song

#7 Super Chocolate

#6 NO QUESTION made three starts between Laurel and

Penn National over the winter, racing well on January 9

but coming up even in the next two. Her best races have

come over the Tapeta. #2 SNIPPY came to a dead stop

after a sharp pace duel on July 27, then disappointed as

the 1-2 favourite on August 24. She was put away after

that start; although a synthetic sprint is a questionable

race type for her, she is likely the most talented runner in

this field. #5 ELITE SONG returns from a disappointing

winter at Oaklawn. She appeared hard to ride in her most

recent start, ducking about causing the rider to take up a

few times heading into the turn. #7 SUPER CHOCOLATE

was claimed out of her winning debut for $7,500, then ran

a respectable fourth in a relatively soft $25,000 non-two

on December 4. She should be a speed factor here.

#1 Black Sage

#6 That’sthewaytodoit

#2 BLONDE ATTITUDE’s only poor showing last year

came when dueling widest with the two best horses in the

race, causing her to come up empty. She has shown

versatility. #4 MAKE NO MISTAKE was forwardly placed

while racing wide on November 15, coming up a jump

short behind notorious hanger Hurricane Emily. Her only

poor showing at Woodbine came when taking a three-

wide park on the turf. #1 BLACK SAGE was racing evenly

with a couple of wide trips at the end of the 2019 season

but had previously been in very good form. #6

THAT’STHEWAYTODOIT raced well over the Presque

Isle Tapeta last year. She comes in off of a non-factoring

dirt race at Mountaineer; ignore that race.

#3 Don’t Get Smart

#2 NANA SAV raced very well on debut, chasing a

pacesetting third time starter who was dropping in class,

and holding off a pair of foes for place. She will likely be a

pace threat. #6 SHANGHAI KIMMY reared badly and was

far back in the early stages of her debut at Tampa. She

eventually caught the pack and, not surprisingly, galloped

out in front; if she’s a big price she may be worth a shot

on the hope she breaks effectively. #8 CHALDEA set the

pace but was outfinished in a route race at Oaklawn won

easily by a four-year old on April 9. She catches a field

predominantly made up of three year olds and will try a

sprint for the first time since her debut. #3 DON’T GET

Race 6

#6 Forester’s Turn

#5 Captain Handsome

#3 Silence Breakers

#8 Ari Gold Speedwagn

#6 FORESTER’S TURN was impressive in his first two

wins. In the Frost King he looked contentious late on the

turn but was wrapped up on early in the stretch. He has a

lot of potential; hopefully he is able to get back to one of

his better efforts. #5 CAPTAIN HANDSOME was a game

second behind Alacritous, a speed horse who is

dangerous when he gets clear, on December 6. He has

not run many bad races over the course of his career. #3

SILENCE BREAKERS went two-for-two as a two year

old. Like Forester’s Turn he has a lot of potential to be a

very nice horse; his speed and winter training in Ocala

will be his biggest assets here. #8 ARI GOLD

SPEEDWAGN had a very productive three year old

campaign, with his worst finish coming as a fourth in the

Vice Regent Stakes. The half-brother to Pink Lloyd has

been able to race effectively on the lead and closing.

Race 7

#4 Skywire

#5 Cooler Mike

#6 Avie’s Flatter

#7 Silent Poet

#4 SKYWIRE had a rough trip in a Queen’s Plate and

came up flat in the Prince of Wales, ending his initially

promising three year old season. He returned in a very

tough allowance race in New Orleans in March, in which

he finished fourth behind three Stakes winners. If he

steps forward from that race he could be a major player.

#5 COOLER MIKE had a terrific 2019, winning three

Stakes in 10 starts, including two on the turf. He has the

speed to make a bid for the early lead but could settle

behind Silent Poet if needbe. #6 AVIE’S FLATTER raced

very well in all three of the Canadian Triple Crown races,

but was disappointing in the Ontario Derby and was given

some time off afterwards. He is another with the benefit of

versatility; this will be his first start in a race with no age

restriction. #7 SILENT POET looks like the speed of the

speed here. He won the Play the King impressively, then

finished a very game second behind Cooler Mike two

starts later in the Bunty Lawless; he runs the risk of being

stuck wide if someone else guns to the lead.

Race 8

#9 Keep Your Thoughts

#7 Flat Out Fabulous

#3 Echo Location

#2 Pierian

#4 Keep Your Silence

#9 KEEP YOUR THOUGHTS has shown very little in

three career starts. She has good early speed in a short

race that doesn’t have an abundance of pace. #7 FLAT

OUT FABULOUS had a few solid efforts last year. She

looks like the most consistent runner in a field with little

form to write home about. #3 ECHO LOCATION looked

like she had a shot at a minor placing at the top of the

stretch in her second start but flattened out in the final

furlong. With some improvement she can hit the ticket

with this group. #2 PIERIAN didn’t break well and raced

wide when sprinting on debut and didn’t run awfully, then

was a non-factor when routing second time out. #4 KEEP

YOUR SILENCE has earned minor shares in longer

races. The blinkers are removed for her first start off of a

private purchase.
