Our StoryRob Purvis is the owner and craftsman that brings life to every piece that is built by Stone City Woodworks. He has a passion for creating one-of-a-kind pieces that are as unique as every client and each piece becomes an heirloom through the memories created.
At Stone City Woodworks, we are inspired by the opportunity to merge the clients desire to own a beautiful piece of bespoke furniture with Rob’s artistic vision.
The client’s individual piece will come to life as the unique character of each piece of wood is revealed throughout its creation.
From the unique grain of the wood, the personal choice of metal legs or a one of a kind wood leg the pride we take in our work shows.
When asked which is his favorite piece to build, Robs answer is always the same, the table where family and friends gather.
Cherished memories are made while gathered around the table sharing meals and playing board games over the years. The table will still be there when the children move out, and eventually bring the grandchildren back to make more memories.
Social media provides us with the opportunity to educate and inform.
The client is able to watch the creation of their one-of-a-kind piece come to life, from early in the inspiration stage, the the final coat of finish being applied, they can enjoy the journey.

“River Tables” as they have become known, are tables that are made from live edge wood with an epoxy resin fill down the middle of the slabs. This epoxy, once cured, is as dense as plastic and the bond with the wood is unbreakable.
With over 75 colours to choose from, translucent or opaque, metallic or matte, there is a pigment that will match and
work with any decor. Each river table is truly a piece of functional art that will be the conversation piece of any space.
