New Zealand-born Frances was never motivated to study maths at high school because she “didn’t think I would ever use that skill in real life”.

The former retail assistant is now a promotional model who rates her hair extensions and eyelashes as her favourite features.

Frances relocated to Australia after high school and proudly states the move is her greatest accomplishment to date. Her

next life goal is to save for a “boob job”. “I’d love to be able to

wear dresses without a bra and see a little side boob.”

She thinks she’d be a great mentor to a Geek because she could teach him confidence.

And, as the only Kiwi in the competition, Frances is certain she’ll stand out from the crowd.

She describes herself as “funny, cute and fun”, rating her sense of humour a 10.

Her most embarrassing moment happened whilst working as a hostess at a business function.

“All the executives had name tags on and I decided to talk to one whose tag said ‘Geoff’.

“I said to him ‘Geoff is an interesting name?’ But I called him ‘Gee-off’. I didn’t realise his name was actually pronounced ‘Jeff’,” she said.

Frances is single. Her last relationship was more than a year ago. She says her ideal partner would be “caring, funny, smart and protective, but not jealous.”

She’d love to meet someone keen to try new experiences. Frances is currently trying her

hand at belly dancing. She thinks it’ll be a great “party trick” and an improvement on her current one.

“I’m double-jointed and I always freak people out because they think I broke my arm.”

Frances was an entrant in Miss Universe New Zealand 2014, but was forced to withdraw after failing the residential requirements by living in Australia.

Organisers have offered her a place in next year’s top 25 if she wants to reapply.

“My coach said I will need to act differently though if I want to get through.”

“ I’d love to be able to wear dresses without a bra and see a little side boob.”

Alisha is addicted to spray tans! Next to mascara, it is the only other beauty indulgence she cannot live without.

As a beauty therapist, grooming is her obsession. “It’s my dream

job,” she says. “I was one of those kids always going through my mum’s

goodies.”

The former tap dancer from the Blue Mountains, NSW, believes there are two skills she could teach a prospective partner - personal grooming and how to take a “good selfie”.

Alisha applied for Beauty and the Geek in an effort to improve her general knowledge.

“I was hopeless at school, especially geography. I thought Melbourne was in Queensland.”

The self-described “pocket rocket” is single and has not been in a

relationship for more than three years. Her ideal man would be “funny” and have a “good smile.”

Alisha describes herself as “bubbly, fun-loving, friendly but high maintenance.” She works out at the gym regularly to maintain her slender frame, but also kicks-up her heels. “I like to go out to bars and have dinner.”

She admits to skinny dipping in public as one of the ‘craziest things’ she’s ever done.

Her most embarrassing incident was in high school when she literally fell over a group of boys. And her biggest disappointment in life was her Year 9 school photos because she looked like a “stunned mullet!”

Alisha, who turns 22 in October, admits to having an unusual fear… being afraid of anyone, or anything hairy.

“I’m really scared of hairy men,” she says. “I have to wax them at work sometimes.

They’ll come in with a carpet on their chest or back. It’s so gross.”

Alisha loves animals...but not “spiders, snakes or bugs!” If she were granted two wishes one would be “no animal cruelty” and the last “to be on Beauty and the Geek”.

Her final wish has come true and she can’t wait. “I’m looking forward to getting outside of my comfort zone and spending time with the Geeks.”

“ I was hopeless at school, especially geography. I thought Melbourne was in Queensland.”

Emily’s been accused of being a ‘dumb’ blonde but

lazy is one thing she’s never been labelled.

Never one to shy away from hard work, she once held seven jobs

at the same time.

The dental assistant from Geelong currently

has four jobs with bartending and waitressing

among them. “I think people think I’m crazy,” she says. “That’s the

general vibe I give off. I’m nuts!”

Growing up the middle sister of three, Emily said she was always competing with her siblings and strives to succeed in everything of interest, which admittedly wasn’t school.

“School was not my strong point,” she says. “I remember my Year 11 maths teacher telling me I would benefit from Beauty and the Geek.

“I never thought much about the comment at the time and then years later three colleges told me I should audition”.

At her Year 12 graduation, Emily did receive an award. It was the gong for the ‘Most Embarrassing Moment of 2012’ after asking if Shakespeare wrote the Bible.

“That is the biggest disappointment in my life so far,” said Emily. “I so wanted the award for the ‘Person Most Likely to Become a Model’”.

Emily knows little about religion despite being raised in a Catholic family, and adamantly refuses to take any religious instruction.

“All my sisters are baptised Catholics, but the priest refused to baptise me therefore I am a proud atheist”.

She is currently single and looking for some guidance on “how to engage in an intelligent conversation with men that doesn’t involve cats”.

Cat lover Emily is an avid fan of The Geelong Cats, her local AFL team. One of her wishes in life is to go to the Brownlow Medal ceremony. “I want to be a WAG – that would be the ultimate dream. I love football!”

She’d also love to have her own personal hairdresser, admitting that if she wasn’t blonde she wouldn’t have as many friends.

“My hair is my most valuable asset,” Emily says. “If I go a day without a compliment about my hair, I feel I have failed.”

Vivacious Brooke lists her greatest accomplishment as

saving up to buy her car and boobs! The hairdresser

and podium dancer is clearly proud of both investments.

The latter helped land the Gold Coast local a spread in a lad’s mag

as ‘Babe of the Week’, but ideally she would have

preferred the cover – or any cover – of any magazine.

Brooke’s ambition is “to be famous” and to meet US rapper and actress, Nicki Minaj.

“My dream job is to be a backup dancer for Nicki Minaj. She’s my role model. I just love her music and stuff like that.”

Brooke applied for Beauty and the Geek to shake up her repetitive life, but also for self-improvement.

“We live in a world where people are judged on their looks and not for who they are.

“The Gold Coast is all about being on show and people there are very shallow. If someone doesn’t appeal, people will walk straight past you.

“I think that way of thinking has rubbed off on me. But I want to see past a person’s appearance… I also think the show would be heaps of fun.”

Single for the last few months after the end of a one-year relationship, Brooke’s ideal man would be “funny, easy-going, trustworthy and understanding”.

She hopes to teach her Geek how to “booty pop” and share her love of dancing with him.

An only child, Brooke describes herself as “determined, loving, sympathetic and fun”. She maintains she has a great sense of humour and laughs readily at her own mishaps.

Her most embarrassing moment was when the petite brunette launched herself into a hammock in front of a deck of party-goers and it then collapsed amid a chorus of laughter.

When not hard at work at home, the self-employed businesswoman can be found at the gym working out or enjoying the company of friends, and her best friend, her dog, nine-month-old Australian bulldog Bronx.

Body focused beer promoter Siobhan’s biggest

disappointment in life is not having grown

bigger breasts when she was a teenager.

The self-confessed “gym

junkie” spends most of her spare

time sculpting her pins, abs and arms at the gym,

or working up a sweat playing netball.

This 21-year-old Australian beauty admits she is often covered in bruises and scratches while playing sport because of her “competitive nature”.

Siobhan lists her greatest accomplishment in life so far as having “travelled the world”. She

also enjoys singing and playing the piano, something this Queensland stunner has done since she was six-years-old.

Never one to knock back a good opportunity, the former bartender cannot wait to appear on Beauty and the Geek so she can teach the Geeks “how to love themselves, even though it is important not to be self-absorbed”.

Having a big, kind heart is what led this bubbly blonde to adopt a rescue dog who was saved from an abusive home. “Rescuing my dog just makes me want to help those who can’t help themselves,” she says.

Keen to work alongside the RSPCA one day so she can read stories to all the injured animals, Siobhan’s ideal man is “six foot tall, tanned, has brown hair and blue eyes”.

“I have always found myself physically attracted to the same guy,” she said. “I like a man with ambition and who will take the lead.”

“I also want to find someone less shallow,” she said. “Most the men I have dated usually have abs and not much else.”

She admits her most embarrassing moment was pole dancing on a street sign which broke half-way through her routine. But the craziest thing she has done was rolling around naked in the ice while skinny dipping at the snow.

“ Rescuing my dog just makes me want to help those who can’t help themselves.”

Hanna boasts an exotic heritage, her mum is Japanese and her

dad is from New Zealand.

Proficient in Japanese this beauty possesses

more than just a pretty face and hopes to one day set up a

retail business selling clothes imported from

Japan.

The former retail assistant hopes to share her fashion

expertise with the Geeks, teaching them which clothes are suited to their body types and how to colour co-ordinate their wardrobes.

This bubbly bartender is adamant she will “never leave the house without putting on lip gloss or pink lipstick”. “I like to look good everyday no matter where I go,” she says.

“My biggest disappointment was how much I believed in love,” admits Hanna. “I thought love was like a fairytale, but in real life losing my first love was the hardest thing I had to accept.”

Able to look on the bright side of life post break-up, the Cairns local describes herself as a “very happy girl”.

“I’m always smiling and I laugh at anything. I don’t take everything to heart because I believe life it too short to be sad,” she says.

Wearing a big smile, skin tight bikini and pair of heels, Hanna was crowned a finalist in the Cairns Miss Pin Up competition last year, a victory she lists as her greatest accomplishment.

Another feat this happy beauty is proud to discuss is her ability to dance “like I’m in a video clip” and being able to “get along with a lot of people”.

Hanna admits her most embarrassing moment was when unbeknownst to her she lost her bikini top whilst swimming at the beach. “I was walking back ashore when my bestie yelled, ‘Your top is gone,’ I ran straight for my towel but I think the whole beach saw them.”

“ I like to look good everyday no matter where I go.”

Hooters employee Sara is studying to become a make-up artist. If

she could have three wishes, her first would involve being

a personal stylist for a celebrity.

She would also like to be telepathic, particularly when it comes to men,

because the proud Penrith resident has not

been in a relationship for more than a year.

“I need help understanding men and their mixed signals,” she says.

Sara wants a partner who is “supportive, insightful but not overshadowing”. “I want someone who can make me laugh and isn’t clingy. A guy who doesn’t play mind games.”

She believes the greatest skill she could teach the Geeks is “how to kiss”.

The petite blonde applied to be on Beauty and the Geek because she thought it’d be a “life-changing experience”.

“I’ve been a fan of the show for a long time and appearing on the show is always something I wanted to do. I’m sure I would make viewers laugh,” she says.

“And it’d be awesome to have my friends and family see me on television.”

Sara describes herself as “flirtatious, witty, boisterous and random”. She loves to dance, although her efforts on the dance floor have also led to her most embarrassing moment.

“I have been known to fall over on the dance floor after one too many drinks,” she says.

Even though she still counts on her fingers, Sara maintains she can be “surprisingly intelligent at times”.

“I’m not at all like people think I am,” she says. “People think I’m snobby, but I’m not.

“People presume I’m not smart, but I have a lot of common sense. I know heaps of trivia too. I’m not like most ‘girly girls’ in that sense.”
