Activities Booklet – July Edition

July is a busier month as we have our SECOND big trip planned as well as more activities in the month. The big trip will take us back in time, find out inside what we have in store for you on this trip. We will also be making our own cushions this month as part of our second Broadlaw social, baking some very tasty treats and going ice-skating as well over in Gosport (wheelchair friendly and inclusive for all). We look forward as ever to receiving your reply slips!

If you have any ideas for activities we would love to hear from you all! Hampton Court was a firm favourite this time round but stay tuned for more up and coming big trips!

Summer bake off!

In this social we will be getting our summer bake on and making some tasty treats to take home. We will be making iced/decorative biscuits and cupcakes as well. Get your baking hat on and let the baking begin!

When: Saturday 19th July Times: 2pm - 4pm Please email Isabella for details: [email protected]

Broadlaw Social – Upcycling event!

For our Upcyling event we will be designing and making our very own cushions. This activity will be delivered by members of Broadlaw specifically for our group. You are free to make your cushions as plain or as pretty as you like, the designs and cushions are of your very own creation and will make for a nice touch to a bed, sofa or a nice, comfy chair. They might also make a nice gift for someone’s birthday – and the good thing about making these cushions, is that they will be made of RECYCLED or ‘upcycled’ materials.

When: Saturday 12th July Times: 2pm – 4pm Please email Isabella for details: [email protected]

Hampton Court Palace!

Our second big trip will be to Hampton Court Palace, the magnificent Tudor palace which once housed the King of England, King Henry VIII. We will be going through the palace maze, having a peak in the Georgian chocolate kitchen to see demonstrations of chocolate making and we will also be joining Henry’s team of cooks as they prepare a lavish Tudor style feast before our very own eyes. There is a coffee shop which sells dairy ice creams onsite perfect for a summer day; this trip will be busy but very enjoyable as there is a great deal to see and do throughout the whole day.

When: Sunday 6th July Times: 8am – 7pm Please email Isabella for details: [email protected]

Planet Ice – Gosport (ice-skating)

Hampshire Teenage Project will be heading over to Gosport for the last activity of the month for ice-skating. Ice-skating is completely inclusive for all even if you are in a wheelchair, so come and take in the ice-y fun with this activity. Ice-skating can be quite tiring, so be sure to bring a few snacks and drinks with you even if you have already had a bite to eat. Please wear warm clothes and bring a jacket as it’s very cold!

When: Saturday 26th July Times: 2pm – 4pm Please email Isabella for details: [email protected]
