My name is Ela Vig.

I was born in November 1957 in Poland where I was brought up as a Catholic. I married my British husband five years ago and moved to England.

I always enjoyed being a student; loved learning and achieving, especially coming first in class.

My favourite subjects were languages and psychology at university. I also enjoyed taking on all sorts of roles like class leader, school drama club directorand so on.

For as long as I can remember I knew I was going to be a teacher. I was an English teacher in Poland and owner of a School of English. I have been at Andover College for the last 5 years as ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Coordinator.

I have always looked up to people with lots of knowledge and achievements. I hope to have my own School of English catering for all migrant workers needing to learn the language.
