Hammurabi•Hammurabi was the 6th king of the

first Babylonian dynasty. Besides being a king, Hammurabi is a religious leader of the Babylonian society. The stone age time is when Hammurabi lived. Although Hammurabi lot to do battle, he is more famous during his reign was made the official code first recorded in the world, called the Charter of Hammurabi.

Babylonia on 1810 BC and died in Babylonia on 1750 BC. He wrote the 282 laws in a 2.4 meter stone. He wrote the laws using the cuneiform and akkadian language. Today the stone is held in The Louvre in Paris. There are 5 categories in the laws there are stealing, economy, marriage, severity of punishments and slavery.

6th Hammurabi code

•Hammurabi 6th code: If anyone steal the property of a temple or the court, he shall be put to death, and also the one who receives the stolen things from him shall be put to death.

•Decode the code: If anyone steal or receives the property of a temple or the court, they should be put to death.

•I think this law exist but i don’t think it involves death maybe only putting them to jail. I agree with this law but I don’t agree with putting people to death.

8th Hammurabi’s code

• Hammurabi 8th code: If anyone steal cattle or sheep, or a pig or a goat, if it belong to a god or to the court, the thief shall pay thirtyfold therefor; if they belonged to a freed man of the king he shall pay tenfold; if the thief has nothing with which to pay he shall be put to death.

• Decode the code: If anyone steal cattle, sheep, pig or goat that belongs to a god or to the court, the thief shall pay thirtyfold but if the thief steal it from a freed man the thief shall pay tenfold. If the thief has nothing the thief shall be put to death.

• I don’t think the law exist anymore because most family don’t have animals. I agree with this law but I don’t think the thief should be put to death. Ny opinion is that the thief should be put the jail.

•Hammurabi 36th code: The field, garden, and house of a chieftain, of a man, or of one subject to quit-rent can not be sold.

•Decode the code: Fields, garden and house can’t be sold.

•I don’t think the law exist anymore. I don’t agree with this law because people have right to sell their stuffs.

•Hammurabi 124th code: If anyone deliver silver, gold or anything else to another for safe keeping, before a witness, but the person deny it, the person who denies it shall be brought before a judge, and all that he has denied the person shall pay in full.

•Decode the code: If anyone deliver silver, gold or anything else to another for safe keeping, but the person denies it and the person who denies it shall be brought to judge and the things that he has denies the person shall pay in full.

• I think this law exist but now we don’t use silver or gold. I don’t agree about this law because I think it’s not fair for the person who denies it.

• Hammurabi 197th code: If a man break another man’s bone, his bone shall be broken.

•Decode the code: If a man break another man’s bone, the person who break the man’s bone shall be broken either.

•I don’t think this law exist today. I agree with this law because it would be fair to one another.
