DESCRIPTION
“Good Morning Baltimore “ is the prologue, setting the story in Baltimore, Maryland in June of 1962. We meet our heroine and protagonist, Tracy Turnblad. She is a plus-sized, hair-hopper with dreams to dance on a local TV show. Her dreams are just about as big as her hair. During this era of the 1960's pre-MLK, this is the start of the civil rights era for blacks and whites. This number describes the town, the people, distinguishing Blacks from Whites, and showsTracy's typical day.
