Beauty CoursesAirbrush Makeup (City & Guilds Level 3 Award)

This 7 week course is aimed at delegates who have already achieved or are working towards a Level 2 Beauty Therapy course. This course involves the use of an airbrush creating makeup to a very high standard.

These techniques can be used for creating all makeup finishes including media, television, photographic and theatre makeup. It creates a flawless finish, lasting longer than normal applications and photographs beautifully.

Cost - £175.00 per person

Threading

This one and a half day programme introduces the various techniques of threading. Delegates will learn how to thread different areas such as eyebrows and other sections of the face, moving from introduction to advanced.


Eye Lash Extensions

This one day course is aimed at people who work or have worked in the hair and beauty industry. The new semi-permanent eyelash extension craze has taken the UK by storm. The demand for this latest treatment is over whelming. This is not to be missed!

Cost - £160.00 per person (Kit is included in the price)

Spray Tan

Enhance your earning potential by attracting new clients. Spray Tans are applied via airbrushes to create a natural, perfectly flawless tan in minutes – without the sun. Aftercare and client consultation are also covered on the half day workshop which is run by external experts.


Introduction to Facial and Make-Up Application

This one day course is designed for those wishing to learn basic facial techniques including skin analysis, superficial and deep cleansing followed by make-up application to create an overall professional look.


Bridal Make-Up (Interest)

This two x half day course is aimed at those wishing to learn the necessary skills to apply bridal make-up. Individuals will learn how to correctly apply the make-up through demonstration, application techniques, preparing the skin and understanding the products & equipment.


Bridal Make-Up (Level 2 in Hair or Beauty Required)

Learn how to create stunning make-up for a wide range of brides. This one day course is designed for those wishing to learn how to create and apply professional bridal make-up. The course involves demonstrations and practical workshops to create the final look.


Ear Piercing

This half day course, run by Studex, is aimed at anyone who is interested in ear piercing. The session will cover health and safety, contra-indications, location of the stud and aftercare treatment.

Cost - £45.00 per person (The kit has an additional cost of approx £25.00 which can be purchased on the day of the course)

Nail CoursesAirbrush Nails (City & Guilds Level 3 Award)

This 6 week course is aimed at delegates who have already achieved or are working towards Level 2 in Beauty/Nails or Manicure. This award will provide the therapist with the skill to use airbrushing techniques within their nail technology services. It is a process by which water-based paints are sprayed by an airbrush onto nails, either freehand or over stencils, producing a superior finish.

Cost - £150.00 per person. (The cost will also include a kit and delegates are required to purchase a uniform which is not included in the price.)

Manicure (City & Guilds Level 2)For Individuals without a Health & Safety Unit

This 10 week course is aimed at anyone wishing to learn about manicure and has no prior skills or knowledge in the industry. Individuals will learn how to file, cuticle work, enamelling and how to perform a relaxing hand and arm massages.

Cost - £180.00 per person. (The cost will also include a kit and delegates are required to purchase a uniform which is not included in the price.)

Manicure (City & Guilds Level 2)For Individuals with a Health & Safety Unit

This 9 week course is aimed at anyone wishing to learn about manicure and has a health and safety certificate. Individuals will learn how to file, carry out cuticle work, enamelling and how to perform a relaxing hand and arm massage.

Twinkle Toes

This half day course is aimed at individuals who currently hold or are working towards a Level 2 Certificate in Beauty. This course covers the newest trend to pampered toes. A gel overlay using glam and glitter for perfect, long lasting glamour.


Nail Art Award (City & Guilds Level 2)

This 6 week course is aimed at delegates who have achieved or are working towards Level 2 in Beauty/Nails or Manicure or have achieved a Nail Art certificate. This award provides the therapist/nail technician with the competence to produce nail art to a very high standard.

Cost - £150.00 per person. (Delegates are required to purchase a uniform which is not included in the price.)

Nail Technology (City & Guilds Level 2)For Individuals without Level 2 in Beauty

The 17 week course is aimed at anyone wishing to learn about creating artificial nails.

The first three weeks cover:• Health & Safety• Basic Manicure such as filing and buffing

Delegates will then move on to learn how to prepare and maintain nail enhancements using acrylic Cost - £300.00 per person. (Delegates are required to purchase a uniform which is not included in the price.)

Nail Technology (City & Guilds Level 2) For Individuals with Level 2 in Beauty

The 14 week course is aimed at individuals who have achieved a Health and Safety Unit and have previous manicure experience. The course will cover how to prepare and maintain nail enhancements using acrylic. Cost - £220.00 per person. (Delegates are required to purchase a uniform which is not included in the price.)

Massage CoursesDiploma in Reflexology Technology (City & Guilds Level 3)

This course is aimed at individuals who wish to qualify as a professional reflexologist or have an interest in performing reflexology. The course will cover benefits, treatment and preparation, foot massage, reflexology/anatomy and physiology, practical applications of reflexology, contra-indications and aftercare treatment. More information will be available at interview.

Hands Free Massage

The half day course is aimed at beauty therapists who wish to update their massage knowledge. The course will cover utilising alternative parts of the body to massage, techniques and contra-indications.


Hot Stone Therapy

Learn the background of hot stone therapy, its benefits and contra-indications, health and safety, practical application of hot stones and care of the stones. This one day course is for those delegates who already hold an Anatomy and Physiology Body Massage Certificate.


Face Massage and Barber Shop Shaving (For Beauty Therapists)

The one day course will cover practical demonstration of face massage, shaving techniques, methods and hands on treatment and preparation. Individuals need to have a minimum of a Level 2 in Men’s Hair, Hairdressing or Beauty. This will enable delegates to offer another service in their salon.


Indian Head Massage (City & Guilds Level 3 Award)For Individuals without a Level 2 in Beauty

This 15 week course is aimed at anyone interested in learning Indian Head Massage and has no prior skills or knowledge in the industry. The first two weeks will prepare delegates with the health and safety knowledge required to achieve the recognised qualification.


Indian Head Massage (City & Guilds Level 3 Award) For Individuals with Level 2 in Beauty

This 14 week course is aimed at delegates who have already gained a Level 2 in Hair or Beauty and a Health & Safety unit. Within this course you will learn the art and benefits of Indian Head Massage plus other beneficial massage movements to use on your client.


Skin Care CoursesMicrodermabrasion

This one day session is aimed at individuals who currently hold or are working towards a Level 2 in Beauty. Using new state of the art technology, you should definitely attend this course if you want to boost your income. The course will cover methods on how to perform microdermabrasion, skin analysis and aftercare treatment.


Hair CoursesThe following one day Hair Up courses are aimed at individuals who currently hold or are working towards a Level 2 Certificate in Hairdressing.

Prom Hair

This course covers how to create striking and eye-catching hair styles for that special occasion.


Bridal Hair

This course covers preparation, tools and equipment, ornamentation and various techniques and skills to enable you to create hair styles with brides in mind. This course will increase your skill portfolio and may increase salon revenue.


Asian Hair for Festivals or Weddings

On this course you will learn the methods required to create dazzling hair styles for festivals and weddings.


Long Hair-Up Course

Individuals will learn the best methods of preparing the hair for dressing into long commercial avant garde styles, giving you an understanding of the techniques required to give your style staying power. This course will increase your skill portfolio and could increase salon revenue.


Barberama - Traditional and Modern Barbering Course

This course is for delegates who are working towards or have already achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing/Barbering. The 2 day course will cover basic to advanced barbering cutting skills such as blending in with clippers/scissors, shaving, fashion techniques - all through demonstrations and hands on tuition. The course is tailored to meet the needs of each individual.


Cutting (City & Guilds Level 3 Award)

This 15 week course is designedfor those hairdressers wanting to refresh their knowledge and skill to cut women’s hair to create a variety of current looks, as well as those who wish to look at todays styles and how to achieve them. Delegates will need a minimum of Level 2 hairdressing qualification or equivalent.


Complementary Medicine CoursesHomeopathy for Beginners

This 10 week course is aimed at anyone who is interested in complementary medicine or homeopathy and would like to be able to use it for minor health complaints.

The course will cover; homeopathic remedies, how homeopathy works within the body and foundations of homeopathic philosophy.


MTI (Massage Training Institute) Holistic Massage, Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Diploma (Level 4)

This 10 month course (weekends only) is aimed at those wishing to gain an insurable massage qualification or anyone who has an interest in holistic therapies, complementary medicine.
