The classes marked with an * symbol are included in this championship. * There will be an extra cash prize given to the highest placed LOCAL competitor in the Working Hunter section for the ‘Local Pony/Horse’ , to be announced after the ring 3 championship. Please see rules for definition of Local which will only apply to pre-booked entries, and if all information is supplied on the pre-booked entry, ie stabling details. A board will be displayed at the secretarys tent on the show day, which will show who the LOCAL riders are, their horse/pony, where they are from, the classes they are competing and the placings they have achieved that day. Remember, it is the HIGHEST PLACED local pony/horse, so you maybe further away than a fellow competitor, but if the nearest competitor is eliminated or not placed in the top 4, then the prize fund will go to the next nearest competitor. In the event of two or more competitors being equally distanced, and same placings in their respective classes, then the prize money will be split accordingly.

SHOW RULES

!" All horses/ponies celebrate their birthdays on 1st January each year, eg, a foal born during 2012 becomes a

yearling (1year old) on 1st January 2013 regardless of the month it was born in 2012 #" Ages given in childrens classes will be taken as rider not to have attained their 8th birthday (Class 18 Lead

rein), or 12th birthday (Class 19 First Ridden) on 1st January each year, eg child who turns 8 during 2012 is not eligible to compete in the lead rein class of 2013 as an 8 yr old child as they have attained 8th birthday by 1st January 2013

$" No horse/pony to be ridden under the age of 4yrs, %" Any abuse to judges, stewards or show officials from exhibitors/representative/groom/spectators will be

asked to leave the showground +" The judges decision is final &" Any complaint must be lodged with the light horse secretary within 1 hour of the incident with £20 in cash

and a letter of complaint. The complaint will be discussed by the show committee at the next meeting, and the £20 returned if the complaint is upheld.

'" Any person mis-treating any animal will be asked to leave the showground (" Spurs will not be allowed in childrens classes )" Whips/canes to be of regulation length, no whip exceeding 30” to be permitted in classes !*" Any animal which it is felt is in poor condition will be asked to leave the show ground !!" Foals to be at least 30 days old on the show day. Mares with foal at foot not to compete under saddle. !#" No horse/pony to be left tied to a lorry or trailer un-attended. !$" An exhibitor may not exhibit any pony/horse which has either been bred, sold, leased or produced by the

judge, his/her family, or his/her employer or employee. Any change in judges will be communicated to pre-booked entries before the show day

!%" No refunds will be given without a valid vets certificate !+" Prize money must be collected from the show secretary, any prize money not collected on the show day will

be forfeited. A prize money voucher will be handed to the exhibitor in the ring by the judge, and then the card will be taken to the secretary to be cashed in. Any vouchers lost will not be paid out. Prize money will be awarded according to the entries forward on the day, prize money as follows:-

50 !'" A special prize will be awarded in the working hunter section for the pony/horse which is stabled nearest to

the showground, measured from the perimeter of the Windmill Field. This will apply to pre-booked entries only, which provide all the information requested, and they are forward on the day. Actual stabling address must be provided on the entry form for this to apply. Horse/pony must have been stabled at the address for at least 6 months prior to the show day. All competitors information on stabling addresses will be made available for public view on the show day. Anyone who is un-truthful as to their stabling address will be

eliminated. In the event of two or more competitors being the same distance from the showground, then the prize money will be split accordingly.

!(" Any perpetual trophy awarded must be collected from the show secretary on the day of the show, and must be signed for by a responsible adult, and agreement made that the trophy will be returned in the same condition by 15th July 2013 or sooner if the society request. A voucher will be presented to the exhibitor in the ring by the judge, and this must be taken to the show secretary to collect their trophy.

!)" Any jump heights provided in the schedule are approximate only, it will be left to the course builder and judge to set the course and height of the jumps which should be in line with the schedule heights.

#*" No galloping on the showground, a ‘working in’ area will be provided for riding on the showground #!" For purposes of classes 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 20, 21, 36A & 36B the classification of mountain & moorland

ponies is as follows:- Large Breeds: Welsh Sec D, Welsh Pony of Cob Type Sec C, Dales, Fell, Connemara, Highland and New Forest Small Breeds: Welsh Mountain Pony Sec A, Welsh Pony Sec B, Shetland, Exmoor and Dartmoor Entries should be registered with their respective breed society, and for mountain and moorland classes, the exhibits must be in natural state.

##" The NOT BEFORE TIMES given in the schedule are an estimate as to timing, the classes will not start BEFORE the given time in the schedule, but may be LATER than the times given.

#$" In the event of an exhibitors classes clashing, then it is the exhibitors responsibility to chose which class they wish to compete in, the organisers take no responsibility for classes clashing, and no refunds on classes missed will be given. Please keep the judges informed, who may hold up their class to wait for a competitor but are not at liberity to do so. Anyone wishing to leave the ring midway through a class, must seek the judges permission first.

#%" It is the exhibitors responsibility to ensure accuracy of their entries, if in doubt please ask before entering. No entry accepted without the correct fee. No late entries taken, once the gate is closed and the class commenced, then no exhibitor will be allowed to enter the ring. No refunds will be given if classes are missed by the exhibitor.

#+" Correctly fitting riding hat must be worn at all times whilst mounted on the showground. Those wishing to wear beaglers, bowlers or top hats do so at their own risk. All exhibitors must be smartly dressed in boots, riding jacket and collar and tie/stock.

#&" Handlers and grooms entering the show ring must be appropriately dressed, no jeans and trainers please, and it is advised that they should wear a hard hat while in the ring.

#'" All animals attending the show must be competently handled/ridden, any unruly animals, mare, gelding, stallion or colt, will be asked to leave the showground as a matter of safety. All stallions and colts 2years + must be bitted. Age of handlers for stallions or colts, or riders of stallions as follows:-

Stallions/Colts not exc 13.2hh Minimum age of handler/rider 14yrs Stallions/Colts 13.2hh and over Minimum age of handler/rider 16yrs

#(" All exhibitors must hold, as a minimum, third part liability insurance cover. The onus is on every rider who suffers a fall or any person who suffers an injury whilst on the showground to report the fall/injury to the show secretary.

#)" All animals attending the show must be in possession of a valid passport under The Horse Passports (England) Reg 2009. Passports must be with the animal while at the show in case of clarification and if required for inspection by show officials or any Trading Standards officers.

$*" The officials and committee of the society, or their representatives take NO responsibility for loss, damage, theft of any personal belongings, vehicles or equipment whilst on the show ground, or injury to person whilst on the show ground, car parks or approaching the show ground. (all entries subject to this condition).

$!" All exhibitors attending the show must be made aware that if the weather permits, vehicles will need to be towed on and off the show field, at the exhibitors/vehicle owners risk.

$#" In the event of the show being cancelled, then exhibitors will be subject to an administration fee of £2 per exhibitor, deducted from their entries.
