Parents/ carers should have few or no
qualifications
Minimum of 8 families
10 hour programme
Offer practical activities to develop children
Development in communication, English & maths.

Offer practical activities to encourage positive
interaction between parent & children
Include home activities
Provide opportunities for adults to develop own skills
Provide progression routes for parents
Be planned & delivered by a qualified teacher who has awareness of basic skills for parents and has attended this training
