Habersham 4-H Club• Archery is one component

of our local 4-H program.

• Open to kids 9-19.

• Most of our most active archery kids also participate in multiple 4-H activities.

• Activities change each month.

What is Extension• Public Outreach from the University

of Georgia College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.

• 4-H is one of three major components to our local extension programming.

The Basics• Quality – Not Quantity

• Kids meet at the Extension Office after school or at the fairgrounds or field.

• Practicing Monday and Thursday afternoons from 4:30-7:00 PM.

• Shooters use compound bows.

• Practicing for local & state tournaments

• Indoor Jan 5th – Feb 19th • Outdoor Mar 2nd – Apr 23rd

accuracy, not power– We only get one set of

ligaments & tendons.

We will be keeping score all season.

Scores will be posted, archers will be ranked.

Cloverleaf: 25 meters

FITA Round – 4 ends, 6 arrows

Junior 40 30 & 20 meters

Senior 50 40 & 30 meters (Field & 3-D for top 5 teams)

Indoor Tournaments

Putnam County Tournament – Jan 31st - $15 ea

Local Tournament 2/16 - $15 ea/ $25 Family

– Adults & Youth Welcome.

State Tournament – 2/21 Perry, GA $25 ea

Outdoor Tournaments• Jackson County Outdoor 3/28th • Local Tournament – April 18th or May 2nd

– @ South Hab Middle $15 ea/$25 Family – Adults and Youth Welcome– Long Distance Shot $5 ea/ 3 for $10 – 50% pot

• State Tournament – April 24-25th @ Rock Eagle - $25 ea
