Tips and Trix
Why are they talking about what the European Commission is saying?
I want funding to my project!!!!
An excellent project must be what is needed in order to get funding ………….. or …
…. are there something additional aspects that needs to be given attention to?
• EC funding are allocated in order to reach specific political aims and goals!
• Applicants must show they want to help and contibute to reach common goals!
• ….but of course, important to also reach own goals hopefully in line with the goals set by the EC
Increase involvement of private sector (new 2016)
A strong proposal should give the intention of ….
• Understanding the motivs for EC funding and goals
• Understanding the rules and conditions
• Understanding for Work Programme och Call for Proposals!!! (Read, read again and again and again)
• ….that the proposals contributes to reach common goals of European Commission (and not only for your self and your own country)
Practical aspects to think about
• Complementary participants/consortium
• Who is the reader? Specialist? Generalist? Industry? Public sector? Acdemic?
• Be specific and avoid generic writings
• Avoid complicated expressions
• Write concrete goals and expected results
• Be realistic!
Read evaluation criterium
• Evaluators does only have access to criterium and proposal!
• Does the content of the proposal answer all ”questions” in the evaluation criterium?
• Does a reader have to look for the information or is it easy to find (”right info at the right place”)?
• Will a reader get very excited and ethusiastic when reading the first paragraph/summary?
