In semester two which is the first year in college; I was very afraid to present in front of my

classmates. It was a big challenge for myself, but it's helped me a lot to develop communication

skill and how to be confident. I presented a video that related to my major. In this paper, I will

reflect my experience

My video was about "protect yourself from Malware, Phishing and Spam". Presently, many

people are connected to each other by using E-mail. Each person has E-mail, and everybody

must learn how he or she can protect themselves from theft or malware. Nowadays there are

many techniques to hack a person's computer, and it's widespread in the world like phishing,

spam, malware and many other types. All of us must educate about technology and awareness

about the new technique of attack.

I spent three weeks looking for a good video, for many reasons. First of all, I want a very good

video to learn from it and to learn some things that happen daily for us. Also, I want a topic that

related to my major. The second reason is to help us to raise and improve the level of

understanding more about new techniques that taken in security course. The last reason is that I

want a new topic that no girls present it before. In addition to, I make sure that this video was

very great, and many girls will learn from it. Also, it's focused on many important points, for

example, it taught us how we can avoid Malware, Phishing and Spam. It's also taught us what we

should do when we receive a formal email from any service or malware and how I know if the

email is spam or not. Also, how we can protect ourselves from hacking and get spammed and

how to be safe and secure.

This presentation was a good experience to trust me more and be more confidence. In general,

after reflecting this video I discover my values such as respect, passion about learning more

about security. It also helps me raising some skills such as listening, participation and managing

time. Moreover, I learned much useful information from others video, and many new device's

technologies that some people are unaware of it.

I was very confident with the information and the questions that I prepared. Because I created

some idea to encourage the students to participate, like drawing some pictures related to our

topic and asked them about their experiences to make the students interested in the topic.

On the other hand, before the video share I was afraid about how I will choose a great video to

spread awareness for my classmate and my teacher because I want something useful for all of us.

I faced some weaknesses in my pronunciation of words and a little fear because all of the

students focused on me, and I hope to change this weak point to better in future.

I think it is not enough to learn in one way as the video, because it is a big issue, and it evolves

every day. That's why we must learn about many ways like a newspaper, TV shows, and books.

Also, I think it was a good idea when the teacher leaves to us the right to choose our topic.

Because each student chooses what she interested in, without limit us in specific topics, all of us

learned something new from each others videos.

In the end, the new experiences are a very good thing to find your strength and your weakness to

correct it to be better, to challenge yourself. And to learn about some new technologies and the

new method that's hackers use to attack people, and teach other people what we learned. It's a

good point to find out the negative aspects and change it to better also to the evolution of your

abilities in the future. I hope to get a chance to gain new experience to learn from it.
