The fun of Puzzled Pint can be found in a bar, All around the world, near and far,

The holiday doors can provide you the clues, Of where to meet the game control crew,

The door you seek is not on the end,(so not Thanksgiving or St Patricks) The numbers upon it do not sum to ten,(so not Valentine’s or Easter)

With digits adorned, two of them prime (none are prime on Christmas), It's where you go for a frightfully good time (hinting Halloween)!

You open the door and stop and stare, and listen to the wind flowing through your hair,

You climb through the door and hear a scary sound, It's the sound of a moonlit creature echoing all around... 1, 5, 6, 3 are indexing Halloween Town to make HOWL

(which is the final answer)

Halloween Town is getting ready to take over Christmas. The presents must be packed into the sleigh ready for Jack Skellington

to be Santa! The numbers indicate how many squares in each row contain a toy. Notice each present type takes up a different

amount of space and must be at least one space away (in all directions) from others! Once the sleigh is all packed up, Jack

exclaimed “Anchors away!” Sally said “What an odd thing to say, but you must have said that for a reason, hey?”

Halloween Town is taking over Christmas Town’s holiday, and their mechanical countdown

clock is being readjusted for the countdown to Christmas instead! Help the mayor switch on the

clock by coding in the remaining 0’s and 1’s. There cannot be more than two of the same

horizontally or vertically adjacent to each other (more than two diagonally adjacent is

accepted). Study the clock from top to bottom... what is everyone waiting for?

SOLUTION

Use the provided numbers as a start to fill in the rest of the gird, ensuring that there are no

more than two 0’s and two 1’s orthogonally (at right angles to, so horizontal or vertical - there

can be more than 2 diagonally) next to eachother.

Then use the shaded squares to decifer the binery message reading each line separately

downwards, reading each column from left to right.

“Oh, the sound of rollin' dice to me is music in the air 'cause I'm a gamblin' Boogie man although I don't

play fair!”. Oogie Boogie keeps on rolling dice, until he gets results he likes. Jack and Sally must thwart

his plan, using clues left from the Boogie man. If only they could see, how simple it would be, to send

Oogie Boogie down below, under the lair he calls home, to fiery pits of lava, an end to Oogie’s laughter.

The evil Dr. Finkelstein has cut up Sally's square patchwork quilt into pieces! Sally is held

together with magic, so help her sew the quilt back together which is known to have 87

stitches in every row in all directions. You may be happy to know what Sally’s sewn secret is!

SOLUTION:

This is a magic square puzzle.

Cut out each of the patches and use

the starter segments to place the

patches into the correct place so that

each row (horizontally, vertically and

diagonally) adds up to the same

number (87).

After Jack had been shot down as the Santa Claus imposter, he returned to his home of Halloween Town and

took a stroll with Sally and his dog to his favorite place, the spiral hill. Make the hill complete again by filling in

vertically downwards and horizontally from left to right. Jack and Sally glanced at each other and thought

about which holiday door they would like to open next!

Sides can be linked (As =) by BOTH Analogy AND by theme (see table below)

Add up left-side of page numbers (IS TO +) to get a sum for the LEFT side of the Equals.

You want the same sum on the right of the equals, so subtract to get the missing __ .

Finally, index these __ . into the meta answers to get the meta-meta answer.
