We praise God that we can celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is His resurrection that is the power of our resurrection.
And just as He is life, He is the power of our new life in Him. May each of you who know the resurrection
and life of Christ have a very blessed day in remembrance of Him.
This week we have our Annual Church Easter Breakfast. After the men and boys of the church make and serve breakfast consisting of eggs, pancakes, sausage, gravy and biscuits, we have our morning Easter service.
We are grateful to have Dr. Main back home safe and sound from his trip to the Philippines. He was there last week teaching a module class on Spiritual Gifts at Pastor George Totica’s church. We praise the Lord that he is home safely.

“Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage forever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.” Psalm 119:111
THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE
Easter Sunday is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son
of God. It was His death upon the cross that provided a satisfaction for
God’s wrath toward the sin of men. Jesus, Himself, was the sacrifice
that paid the penalty of man’s sin. It was His life for our life. Now he
had declared, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me,
though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25). Following the death
of Christ, three days later on the first day of the week, God raised Him
from the dead. This revealed that God the Father approved of Christ’s
death as the sacrifice for our sin.
Now when a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior, the Lord gives him a new life. Throughout
the Gospels, men and women repented of their sin and received Jesus Christ as their Savior. As many as
received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on His name (John 1:12). And their
new life as a child of God began.
Some things that happen in the new life of a Believer is that
his thinking changes, his life settles down with a peacefulness,
his appearance and demeanor changes, and he desires to tell
others what Christ has done for him. These things happen
because the Lord has been resurrected and is alive. He has
declared, I am the resurrection and the life. Is Jesus Christ your
life?

Message by Dr. Caswell A. Reeves
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a fact that some people have a hard time believing. But for the Believer, it is a strong vindication of his message and a motivating force in his life.
I. It supports the integrity of the Gospel (vs. 12-19) A. It is the power of the resurrection (vs. 12-13) B. It is the power of the preaching (vs. 14-16) C. It is the power of our faith (vs. 17-19) II. It empowers the Believer’s resurrection (vs. 51-53) A. By raising without corruption - purification B. By changing the body - glorification - eternal III. It gives victory in the Believer’s life (vs. 55) A. Over death B. Over the grave IV. It compels the Believer to serve the Lord (vs. 58) A. By living stedfastly in the Lord’s work B. By being unmoveable in the Lord’s work C. By always abounding in the Lord’s work
The resurrection empowers the Gospel and gives us the reason for serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you saved and serving?
