▪ H-E-B is back into production with GDSN
▪ Technically ready to again start receiving product information from suppliers
via the GDSN
▪ GDSN data is now being integrated into H-E-B foundational systems and will
be leveraged for new item set up and maintenance processes
▪ Heightened focus on hazardous and dangerous goods attribute information

Goal:
▪Obtain product data from 100% of suppliers via GDSN
—Private label brands - Central Market, H-E-B, H-E-Buddy, Hill Country Fare, Economax, etc.
are excluded at this time
—DSD exclusive suppliers are excluded at this time
▪Eliminate or reduce the risk of regulatory fines to H-E-B and suppliers caused due to
bad information
▪Request suppliers publish item information via GDSN as soon as possible
▪Leverage the GDSN to streamline and automate supply chain processes to support new
item set up and hazmat / dangerous goods
▪Phase out other methods of receiving product information from suppliers

▪ The GDSN is built around the GS1 Global Registry and GDSN-certified data pools
▪ Ensures the supplier and customer are looking at the same accurate information
▪ Supplier enters the information only once in the data pool they subscribe to, for all its GDSN
customers
