Gypsum-Plaster Luminaires Trimless - Seamless - Recessed

Each fitting is flush filled in to the wall or ceiling, leaving a perfectly integrated, trimless finish, with no lines separating the fitting from its surrounding. All lights can be painted for colour co-ordination.

Plaster is a natural, versatile material established as a primary element in the history of crafting decorative and architectural objects. Lloyd Martin Lighting is a specialist manu-facturer of handcrafted, high density plaster luminaires, providing a unique quality of texture and a finish unequalled in other materials.

Plaster is also an Eco friendly substance with low embodied energy. There is no negative effect at the end of its product life as it is harmless to the environment when dis-posed of.

Installation

Our wall and ceiling lights are simple to fit, and easy to get a totaly integrated finish. The entire range of lights can either be flush filled into previ-ously plastered walls & ceilings, or alternatively skimmed in to unplastered surfaces. The flexible wings on the sides of the fittings can be easily bent to accomodate different plasterboard thicknesses.

Technical

When choosing a ceiling light, please take note of the angle of the lamp within the fitting. The majority of our lights are angled directly down, for general room lighting. However two of our fittings, (LMSRADEL & LMSSADTT) are specialy angled so as to provide a gentle wall washing light, which also reduces glare when angled away from veiw.

TransformersTransformers used in conjunction with MR16 type lamps must be small enough to fit through the 50mm lamp holes in the luminaires for sevice, as once plastered or filled in, the luminaires are not easily removed.

We have carefully selected transformers perfectly suited to our range of ceiling lights. The units we supply have been chosen as they have a very low failiure rate, correct power capabilities, as well as a small physical size. Please note that tranformers are sold separately.

Technical

LED DriversOur LEDs require 350ma drivers to regulate the power from the mains. We are able to supply a carfuly chosen LED driver, perfect for our LMWSLOTFO wall fitting. The driver we supply are small enough to pass through the 30mm hole in the fitting for maintenence.

Dimming: GU10 and MR16 halogen lamps are dimmable using a standard mains dimmer. LED cluster lamps (and drivers for MR16 types) must be specified as suitable for dimming if required as many types are not.

Max lamp wattageIt is important that the maximum wattage is not exceeded. This guide is to ensure the fitting operates both safely and efficiently. Failure to observe these guidelines could result in heat retention and subsequent damage to the luminarie and its surroundings.

Lighting Control SystemsOur lights are compatible with the majority of lighting control systems, please contact us for specific compatibility querys.

Paint finishPlaster luminaries are ideal for a variety of paint finishes. No specials preparation is required on our flush range. Luminaires can either be painted in to co-ordinate with the rest of the wall or ceiling for a discrete look, or painted with a contrasting colour to create a striking effect.

GU10 This mains voltage lamp is the most simple to fit, and requires no transformer. This type of lamp is availiabe in tungsten halogen or alternatively energy saving LED clusters.

MR16 A tranformer is required to convert mains supply voltage to the 12 volts that this light uses. MR16s are widely thought to have a better light quality when compared to GU10s and operate at a lower temperature. This type of lamp is availiabe in tungsten halogen or alternatively energy saving LED clusters.

1W LEDThis light source is used in the LMWSLOTFO. It provides a very energy efficinent, pure white light. Requires 350ma driver.

LEDs Typicaly have an extremely long life, and rarely need replacing.
