INTRODUCTION

Thank you for downloading this Scenario Pack for Train Simulator 2020. Thispack contains 6 activities recreating some typical services of the HSTs on the GreatWestern Railways network. Three of these activities are split in two parts, forming atotal of 9 scenarios. These activities are made of six long-distance journeys betweenLondon, Penzance, Swansea and Paignton. Each activities is situated at a different timeperiod, retracing the last 25 years of HST services on the network, with the oldest onetaking place in 1994 while the most modern one takes place at the beginning of theGWR new era. The three different engine types used by HSTs during their lifetime areused here : Valenta, VP185 and MTU.

These activities have been realised with a very particular attention to details,and are made according to the real timetables of the British network, oftently changedto match the history. However, it is possible that despite all our researches, someelements appear as incorrect regarding the reality, and we would like to apologise forthis. Scenarios creation is a very time consuming activity, but we are very proud togive you here about 25 hours of driving on a total of 2,400 kilometers of rail journeyswith no less than 425 programmed AI services!

In order to give you the most realistic possible experience, this pack requires alarge number of dependencies that are listed in each activity description. Please havea look at that before trying to launch any scenario or you will encounter technicalissues.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To install these activities, simply drop the Content folder into your Railworksfolder.

For the two scenarios taking place on South Wales Coastal : Bristol – Swansea, itwill be necessary to unzip the .ap folder of the route :

=> Go to Railwors\Content\Routes\00000068-0000-0000-0000-000000002016

=> Find the .ap folder of the route and make a backup elsewhere.=> Renammed the extension in .zip and then unzip it.=> Drop the content of the extracted folder into the route folder, then

delete the .zip file.

Notes

Dependencies : In the dependencies list, the ² sign after some itemsindicates that the scenario could be launched if you do not own the add-on.

Adaptation : Some pieces of rolling stock being unavailable for TrainSimulator 2020, we had to make some adaptations and replace it with otherrealistic equivalents :

- Class 180 have been replaced by HST.- Class 322 have been replaced by Class 360 and/or 166.

Virgin Trains First Generation Pack : Some scenarios use the Class 47 andaccording coaches from the Virgin Trains First Generation Pack of DTG. This packhas been withdrawn on 6 December 2019 following the end of Virgin Trainsfranchise. If you do not own this item and would like to use the concernedscenarios, please ensure that you have swapped those items using RW_Tools. Ifmany people ask for, we could think about including a non-Virgin Trains versionof this scenario pack. Do not hesitate to make us know by e-mail of byMessenger.
