The Fiberglass Gutter Company is a manufacturer of the world’s first fiberglass gutter system for residential use. In the beginning our main concern was to develop a solution for the continuing decline of wood gutter quality. Over time we have found that our gutter is compatible with all types of homes and is quite simply, the best gutter you can put on your residence.

Who we are

Why Fiberglass Gutters? The Fiberglass Gutter™ is custom molded from an actual wood gutter to retain the exact look but has many more benefits.

Our profiles allow for 40% more water capacity than the standard wood gutter.

The Northeast has the greatest potential for the heaviest rains with a recorded 18.00” in 24 hours.

1) Remove wax from gutter with scotch-brite or 200 grit sandpaper and denatured alcohol. Do so in a fashion which does not remove the wood grain finish. A light stroke will remove the wax instantly without losing the integrity of the wood-grain.

2) Prime the surface with one coat of oil based primer. We prefer Kilz or Bullseye.

3) Paint surface with any exterior based paints and follow all instructions on the paint you choose

CautionWhen using stains, mineral spirits, paints, or other hazardous materials, always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. The Fiberglass Gutter Company makes no representations as to the proper use of other manufacturers’ products. When working with paints or solvents, make sure the working area is well ventilated.Keep away from heat and flame as materials may be combustible.Paints or solvents may cause skin and eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.Keep out of reach of children.

Painting of this product is not covered under our lifetime warranty. That be-ing said many homeowners may choose to paint their gutters after installation. There is a procedure to do

this correctly and have a finish that should last for many years. All of our fiberglass gutters are manufactured from a mold that contains wax. This helps us pull each piece

from the mold. The wax must be removed from the gutter before painting. Failure to do so will result in the paint peel-ing in a short time.

The Fiberglass Gutter AdvantageHigh Tensile StrengthTensile strength measures the force required to pull some-thing to the point where it breaks. Fiberglass is a lightweight, extremely strong, robust material with high tensile strength, making for it ideal for gutters which, like fiberglass boats, are continually subjected to moisture and changing weather conditions. And like fiberglass boats, The Fiberglass Gutter Company gutters have stood the test of time, with our earliest installations now a dozen years old.

Reliability – No LeakageThe Fiberglass Gutter Company wood-replacement gutters are a step above any other system available today. Comprised of several layers of fiberglass, the gutters are rugged and 100% leak-proof.

MaintenanceWith mandatory annual maintenance, traditional wood gutters have an additional cost which is never-ending. The Fiberglass Gutter Company gutters simply require clearing of debris and an occasional washing.

Ease of InstallationAnother top selling point for architects, builders, installers and property owners or managers is ease of installation. The Fiberglass Gutter Company gutters install in about one third the time of a traditional gutter system. This ease of installa-tion, combined with low maintenance and the assurance that the gutter system is not a threat to one’s investment, make The Fiberglass Gutter Company gutters ideal for any architect, builder, owner, manager or superintendent of a project where historic character and detail are important.

Long LastingManufactured with a molded-in isophthalic gelcoat, The Fiberglass Gutter Company gutters will endure over twenty-five years with no service – without blistering or delaminating – making them a simple, cost-effective insurance policy for one’s investment and time. These gutters will be the last a property owner will ever need to install.

Green building has become an increasingly important focus for new construction. The LEED Pro-gram (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) was devel-oped by the U.S. Green Building Council to provide a framework for implementing practical and mea-surable green building solutions. Compared to other traditional materials such as aluminum, vinyl or wood, the total life-cycle assess-ment of fiberglass contributes to its viability as a green building

product. When consideration is taken for the energy consumed in production, installation and envi-ronmental sustainability, fiberglass products generate a much smaller impact than other traditional mate-rials and can be used in ways that are less energy or carbon intensive.Fiberglass is often chosen over oth-er construction materials for hav-ing a life cycle that exceeds other products by remaining resistant to rust, rot and corrosion. By increas-ing the useful lifespan compared

to other products, fiberglass’s durability reduces the need for replacement, repair or repainting. It is this durability and low mainte-nance of fiberglass that really mark it as environmentally sustainable. Using it as a replacement for wood eliminates toxins from painting, staining, or finishing or the need for pesticides since it is naturally resistant to termites or other wood-consuming denizens.

The Fiberglass Gutter Company manufactures and installs wood-replacement fiberglass gutters for use in new construction and historic renovations. We have reproduced the most commonly used and aesthetically pleasing gutter and molding styles in the traditional fine home building business, staying true to the classic wood gutter appearance while avoiding wood’s considerable disadvantages.

Indistinguishable from wood, our gutters have received the approval of multiple Historical Commissions and have been enthusiastically received by architectural firms and quality builders throughout Greater Boston, the South Shore and Cape Cod. Installations have ranged from 200+ year-old colonials and antique-reproduction Capes to new oceanfront contemporaries.
