Instructors: - Dan Empfield (Founder, Slowtwitch/F.I.S.T.)- Jane Pearson (Director of Education, GURU)- Jonathan Blyer (GURU Academy Fit Advisor)

Summary:The goal of this 3-day workshop is to teach bike fitters a useful protocol for generating a set of optimized fit coordinates and to prescribe from those coordinates a list of complete bike solutions for road and triathlon.

Key Highlights:- The theory behind F.I.S.T. fit principles- Step-by-step demonstration of how to create an optimized fit coordinates- Tutorial on how to use Slowtwitch calculator and GURU Bike Discovery to generate complete bike solutions from fit coordinates

Day 1 – April 5:- Explanation of F.I.S.T. fit principles- Road fit demonstrations Complimentary lunch will be served

Day 2 – April 6:- Road fit sessions throughout the day- Separate workgroups, operating as fitters and athletes Complimentary lunch will be served

Day 3 – April 7:- Explanation of tri fit process, tri fit demonstrations- Demonstrate pad X/Y method of fitting to superbikes Complimentary lunch will be served

Airport RecommendationsThe GURU Academy can be accessed from any of the major New York City area airports (JFK, LaGuardia, Newark). Each airport has numerous rental car options –it will take approx. 75 minutes to drive to Danbury from these airports.

In addition, you can fly into Westchester County Airport or Hartford Airport –these locations are closer to Danbury/Bethel (less than 1 hour drive). However, airfares will be more expensive when flying into these airports.
