"Vintage" is a term that has acquired a new meaning apart from its original usage. The term is a combination of Vint (of the vine) and Age (time of creation). This term is used in the wine industry to indicate a wine's harvest date. The use of "vintage" has been modified by collectors to mean old, such as a Vintage Car, or Vintage Clothing. This extension of the meaning is used in guitar terminology to mean "an original, older guitar."

Most collectors value guitars from the mid 1920s to 1970. Because guitars prior to the mid 1920s are too primitive in design for most collectors. Guitars after 1970, even though they are over 30 years old, have little collectible appeal. All the U.S. guitar manufacturers were in dire straits during the 1970s. They were either bought out by larger conglomerates looking to make guitars as quickly as possible, and/or their quality and choice of materials had become sub-standard.

So all McCartney Vintage Guitars are reproduction of famous guitars from 1920s to 1970. And we will start from 1950s and 1960s electric guitars this year .

1950s and 60s Electric guitars sound so good because of less polluted wood ,thin nitrocellulose finishes ,good hand-made pickups and wiring .They can not be duplicated today because the materials, environment and society of pre-1970 was much different. But we choose the best substitute for wood and keep the traditional nitrocellulose finishes on our vintage guitars. We also use the best reproduction vintage pickups and good sealed and grounded wiring. All these together make our guitars have real vintage sound.

Today most guitars are made with CNC (computer controlled) routers and cutters. Thirty years ago guitars were much more of a hand-made item than they are today. Yes a CNC-made instrument can be more consistent and excellent quality. But it just doesn't have the same "personality" of a "old school" made guitar. So we insist to apply hand-made processing as much as possible in our production.

lot changed with the 1959 ST model. By mid-1959 the maple fingerboard was changed to a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and "clay" dot fingerboard markers. This change made the sound of the ST guitar got deeper because of the rosewood. Another change was the pick-guard. Instead of

a single layer thin white ABS 'guard, it was now a laminated 3-layer celluloid pick-guard, which turns a mint green color. A thin aluminum shield the size of the pick-guard is installed underneath the three layer pick-guard. This replaces the thicker and much smaller shield previously used on single layer pick-guards (this older style shield encompassed just the three pots and the switch).

he JB model was first introduced in 1960, this model had a narrow nut (1.5") compared to the PB model. The most valuable models are the first two years with concentric (stacked) volume and tone knobs and felt tipped string mutes. Leo Fender felt that

they gave a more accurate acoustic string bass sound, which the jazz bass player would prefer. The pickups were designed with two pole pieces per string. This produced a mellower tone and a less percussionized signal that was more forgiving on the less-than-efficient bass speakers of the 1950s and 1960s. Our MJB62 model is reproduction of 1962 JB model.

Contoured Alder Body, Three Tone Sunburst Polyurethane Finish with the center yellow color sprayed. he LP Sunburst guitar from 1958 1959 1960 is the top of the electric guitar heap. Still made today, but the original 58 59 60 Sunburst models are the originals that started it all. The attractiveness of the wood, the playability, the sound - all these thing add up to a guitar

that even today seems to be unsurpassed. Many famous players made this their standard guitar.

Probably only 20% of all LP Sunburst guitars from 1958 to 1960 had any significant maple figuring flamed maple. But all our MLP59 guitars are with Two pieces AAA Flamed(tiger stripe) Carved Maple Top. Single cutaway, Mahogany Back and Neck(one pc), Set-in, single ply cream binding on body top, Rosewood Fingerboard with single cream binding, Trapezoid Celluloid Fingerboard Inlays, 12” Fingerboard Radius, 22 frets, Cow Bone Nut 1 11/16” wide, 24.75" Scale, “C” style neck back shape, but thinner than original. The best vintage sound of 1959 LP is from its PAF(Patent Applied For) humbucking pickups and vintage wiring. Original PAFs made with Alnico II have always held a special place in many a guitarist’s heart. If you have ever heard someone describe a PAF as “flute-like” or “more like a single coil than a humbucker - then that’s the Alnico II working its magic. The Pick-up we use on our MLP59 is perfect PAF reproduction Alnico II humbucker with Nickel Silver covers. In order to get the real LP sound ,we also use the best electronic parts to reproduce the 50’s wiring. 2 Volume and 2 Tone Control, 3 Way Toggle Switch, Japanese Split Brass Shaft 500K Pots, 0.022uF,400V Bumble Bee style Paper-in-Oil capacitor, Switch-craft USA 1/4" Input Jack. n 1952, when the first LP was made, it quickly became known as "Gold Top" due to the gold top finish.By fall 1955, the Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop tailpiece was adopted on the LP Gold-top (solving the earlier intonation complaints), making the 1955 to 1958 LP Gold-top a big winner. The combination of P-90 pickups

and a tune-o-matic/stop tailpiece is considered by most Les Paul players as a great setup. Hence the late 1955 to early 1957 Les Paul Standard Gold-top is regarded as a very usable and versatile guitar. Our MLP56 is reproduction of original 1956 LP.

Multiple pieces Carved Maple Top, single cutaway, Mahogany Back and Neck(one pc), Set-in, single ply cream binding on the top, Rosewood Fingerboard with cream binding, Trapezoid Mother-Of-Pearl Fingerboard Inlays, 12” Fingerboard Radius, 22 frets, Cow Bone Nut 1 11/16” wide, 24.75" Scale, “C” style neck back shape, but thinner than original. he SG model was known as double cutaway version LP when it was introduced to the market in 1960. The first incarnation (1960/1961) often have the sideways vibrato, which it is problematic. Also the 1960-1961 models have very thin back-shaped necks. By 1962 these two problems were largely rectified

- the 1962 ebony vibrato with the inlaid pearl is very cool and functional, as is the 1963 style Lyre vibrato. And the neck back shape fills out in 1962 making the neck more meaty. Our MSG63 is reproduction of 1963 SG.
