Step 1: What is your story?Take a moment to carefully consider the story you wantto tell and why it matters in terms of audience value andhow it can help move the industry forward?

• The best sessions tend to focus on a single clearmessage, objective or idea.

• Is your story one that imparts new knowledge, orinspires the audience to think differently or does itshare lessons learned?

Step 2:Who is the best person totell your story?Your chosen speaker/s plays a huge part in the successand can make or break your story. We encourage you tothink about the following when proposing speakers:

• Is our proposed speaker the best fit for the formatand the story you want to tell?

• Does the proposed speaker/s establish credibilitywith the audience?

• You may have great speakers within yourorganization, but don’t limit yourself by puttingforward the same names from within, nominateamazing speakers from outside your company or newnames from within

• Do you want to co-present with your customer andwhich speakers from your company and the customercompany would best be suited to present your story?

• Would it bring even more value to the audience to letyour customer tell your story on their own?

Quality over quantityThe “quality over quantity” ruleapplies both to the number ofproposals you submit and thenumber of panelists you proposewhen submitting for a panel session. Please limit the number of topicproposals submitted to five (amaximum of 3 per theme). For thepanel sessions, the number ofpanelists is limited to four.

Diversity & inclusionTM Forum is a global community andare committed to increase diversityand inclusion in the speaker profilefor our events to ensure a greaterspectrum of stories. Please keepinclusion, gender, ethnicity anddiversity in your minds whendeciding on your speakers and thecontent of your topic proposal.

Putting your best foot forwardSeniority of proposed speakers isimportant, however, putting forwarddynamic speakers who can capturethe audience’s attention, having highenergy while delivering valuableinsight is key. Experience has shownthat our audience values engagingpresentations that provide practicalinsights and lessons learned fromchallenges they face, not theory andspeculation. In some cases, the bestperson to speak is the one who hasbeen in the “trenches.”

Original contentWe only want to hear originalcontent that is new and exciting, andwe will be unable to accept the reuseof previous presentation materialgiven at other events.

In today’s world we don’t always do things the same way, and we don’t alwaysagree. There are two sides to every story. For this session you will need aperspective and want to present against another speaker where presidential rulesapply.
